BBS + Action

[Minutes after the end of class Artemis stops by the lab and makes a quick BBS post.]

Weird question, but has anyone else noticed that everything seems to be really slow right now?

[She leaves it at that, not bothering to sign her name, because she's got more important things to worry about. Like the pit that is her stomach.]

[It all starts off innocently enough. Everything just seems to be a little slower than before. Days stretch out longer and class becomes almost agonizingly long.]

[Then before she knows it she's hungry all the time. Which is what she's currently battling with right now. She had a pretty big lunch and class only just got out. So why does it feel like she hasn't eaten in a week?]

Maybe I'll just go grab a snack.

[She's grumbling to herself now as she heads towards the cafeteria. When she notices something and it just adds to her annoyance level.]

Since when did it take this long to get to the cafeteria?

[Feel free to call her weird or whatever, because she's only about halfway to the elevator yet. So it's not like she's even to the first floor let alone anywhere near the cafeteria.]

[ Hey weird, she was planning on going to the cafeteria as well. She was already at the Elevator poking the button and waiting for it to open for her. She glanced backwards and noticed an irritated blonde coming her way. Uh-oh, that doesn't seem like such a good thing. ]

[She's not irritated she's just frustrated! Okay no, she's pretty peeved, but that's not the point! It's not her fault that everything is so slow! Which is why, when she stops in front of the elevator she starts tapping one foot impatiently. Why is the elevator taking so long?]

It's taking forever! [Sound of frustration goes here.] What is it with everything today?

They can't move all that fast usually. If you are in a hurry, maybe try the stairs?

[She inched away slightly. This girl seems kind of fiery.]

[Every now and then the rate she's tapping her foot at speeds up until it's pretty much just a blur, but it never lasts for longer than a few seconds. It does a wonder for stretching out some of her words though. Which is more than a little obnoxious.]

It's not just the elevator. It's you and everyone else too. Why do you keep dragging out some of your words? It's not like I have problems understanding English you know. Geeze.

That's weird, because it's definitely way too slow. It's like everything is twice as long now! It's driving me crazy!

Does it even have to make sense? Getting dragged to a different universe because of some "Time Compression" doesn't make sense either. So what's one more thing?

[Whenever she makes it down to the cafeteria, she'll find a confused and slightly disgusted looking Wally. For the first time in his life, he can't stomach another bite of food. The very thought of putting the burger in his mouth makes him want to bolt to the bathroom. Except bolting isn't the right word, off and on his legs have felt like lead today.]

[Getting to the cafeteria takes forever. Getting through the line takes forever. Getting to a table takes forever. What the heck is going on? Disgusted with how life as a whole is going right now, she sits down at the same table as Wally without noticing it.]

[Then, without a word, she starts to eat at an alarming rapid rate. Soon enough it's gone and she's still feeling a little hungry which is just pissing her off. Of course then she notices Wally and his food, food that he doesn't seem to be eating. Before she can really think about what she's doing she's already talking.]

You gonna eat that? [Because the trayfull of food she's just inhaled apparently isn't enough.]

Noticed anything else weird then? Because I'm serious about this slowness thing. Classes seem to take forever, sometimes words stretch out way too long, and it's starting to get ridiculous.

Slow? No. But thinks do seem a little weird..

Like this one fly has been following be for days. Even when I swat it, it keeps coming back. And now there's three of them.

Do you think it has something to do with this fisherman's horizon place?

You're attracting flies? Sounds like fun. [The buzzing would have driven her mad. So she actually feels kind of sorry for her.]

I couldn't say. This entire world is weird as far as I know. So you'd be better off asking someone who's been here for a while.

Maybe we should both do that. It definitely seems a bit.. alarming that multiple people are experiencing strange things.

[A cold drink in the cafeteria is clearly in order. She still hasn't been able to fully stamp out that slight, feverish feeling, and between that and being able to feel Penthesilea flicker (for lack of a better word; the only real way to describe it is that one moment she can feel the Persona, and the next it's like switching the lights off as she goes light headed) she's not making any fast progress on getting to the cafeteria.

Which might prove to be a problem, as there's moments where she swivels and staggers off-course...Potentially into the paths of other people.]

[Her staggering is one of the things that happens in a bizarre slow-motion sort of way. So it's pretty easy to rescue her before they end up bumping together or the other girl ends up on the floor.]

Be more careful. [Artemis frowns a little bit, really this is all she needs on top of everything else.] You okay? If you're sick you should be in the infirmary or back in your room instead of possibly getting everyone else sick too.

[She hadn't meant to misstep like that, truly; the floor just felt a bit...Odd underfoot just then. The last thing she expected, however, was to go from stumbling to getting held up. And lightly chastised.]

"I am not ill."

[Mitsuru frowns as she says that, still looking a touch disoriented. Her eyes don't focus on the right place for a moment, and she turns her head in the wrong direction before her thoughts click together, and tell her that the person holding her up is on her left side instead of the right.]

"Just a touch of light headedness, that's all. Nothing that requires and infirmary visit."

[And fever, but she's not really ready to admit that.]

What do you mean by really slow?

Just like it sounds like. Sometimes time just takes forever, classes that are one hour feel like they last two or three. Sometimes when people are talking their words get stretched out funny like someone's slowed them down a bit.
