[action] fisherman's horizon | training center
[Scenario A]
[This town wasn't so bad, really. It reminded her a bit of Oerba - it just had that quiet sense where everyone seemed to know each other. Well, it used to, probably. She figured all of these extra people in town weren't doing much for the quiet.
Not that any Garden students were causing a ruckus. Good thing, since even though as a SeeD, she was supposed to be setting an example and enforcing all of those rules, she wasn't really up for the task. Hey, if everyone was old enough to be wandering around town, they were old enough to keep themselves in line.
Even so, Fang found herself wandering along the Horizon Bridge, inadvertently keeping an eye on things. Well, half an eye, anyway. What she was really thinking was that this spot probably had a fabulous sunset. Maybe she'd risk breaking curfew to see it, though it was a silly thing to break it for.
Hmph. Rules. Who needed 'em?]
[Scenario B]
[Whether it from being a l'cie or just because of plain old unwillingness to let anything get the best of her, Fang usually had no problem in taking down a T-Rexaur - as long as it was just one at a time. Sort of like the King Behemoths back home.
On this particular night, though, this one seemed to be giving her trouble. She'd sought out the Training Center since she was feeling particularly restless and of course, she could only go here. Nothing wrong with getting rid of some beasts to help someone sleep, right?
Maybe she was more tired than she'd thought, because this thing was certainly putting up a fight. It wasn't as though she didn't feel strong enough to beat it; more like...she was drawing her strength from the wrong sources. But that was stupid. She knew her strengths better than anyone, after all, and had been using them and fighting for a lot longer than most.
Bah. Perhaps she should use a status spell, though she'd been finding little use for them lately. She held her spear out for defense, calling up her rather pitiful stockpile of magic for a Sleep or something, but to her surprise, instead of the intended spell, a tiny burst of flame shot from her hand. It wasn't anything at all impressive - it lasted barely a moment, but it was enough to startle her into staring at her hand in surprise.
That hadn't been l'cie magic...or her l'cie magic, anyway, unless she'd gained a few new abilities while she wasn't looking. Hmph. If no one had seen it, it probably wasn't anything getting herself all worked up over. Spell flukes happened, right? She needed to concentrate on this beast, anyway, before it saw fit to chomp her right in half.]

Scenario B. And you're getting the civil partnership.
Joe, wait.
[Turning around, Marvelous looked inside to see the woman, whoever she was, and the large reptile fighting and, from his perspective, the lizard was winning. The two hadn't run into the beasts of this world yet and that could be an interesting battle ahead.
Pulling out his gun, Marvelous turned to his first mate, grin on his face even though it couldn't be seen through the helmet.]
We can take that thing down.
Civil partnership in the form of spandex-wearing superheroes.
It wasn't like they had anything better to do at the moment. At least this provided for some excitement while they were here.]
Time for a show, then.
[GokaiBlue nodded his head towards his captain and pulled his sabre out, resting it on his shoulder.
And charged ahead.]
Lucky me |D
Might be a good show if you're breathin' at the end.

He watched the woman as he ran towards the lizard. She seemed formidable on her own. And if he wasn't GokaiBlue right now, she would be able to see the smirk on his face directed at her words.
Joe pulled his gun out as he charged, shooting the thing as he ran as well. As soon as he got close enough, he leapt forward, slashing it with his sabre. There was no room to talk right now.]

Eat this!

Although from turning around to attack, it did leave itself an opening for Joe to finish it off quickly.]
Catch! [Marvelous tossed the sword so he was holding the blade and threw it at his comrade and aimed his gun again to fire repeatedly at it's scaly hide.]

He caught his sabre with no problem and tossed his own gun at Marvelous.]
Thank you.
[A small nod to his captain, and Joe was on the offensive again, running towards the opening it left. He leapt towards the lizard again, two blades pointed at its opening, and hit it.
The creature let out a scream of pain.]

Gotta admit, that's one of the fastest times it's ever gone down.

Walking up to Joe, he handed the blue sentai his gun in exchange for getting his sabre back and motioned towards the door.]
Let's go.

He nodded toward his comrade as he handed him his gun back. Before they turned to leave, Joe nodded toward the woman as well.
With his gun back, and his sabre resting on his shoulder, he began to trail behind Marvelous.]

Better hurry before the staff thinks you're outta bed for no reason and breakin' curfew.

We're not students here. We're pirates.

Eleven o' clock. [His words were directed towards Marvelous. After a chuckle over how ridiculous a curfew was, he directed his attention to the woman again.]
We don't need a curfew. What could they do to us if they found us anyway?
B!
Still, he has to say he's surprised to see her shocked about what appears to be the use of fire magic. Shouldn't a person know what sort of abilities they're capable of?]
A!
Had this been on campus, he would've been much stricter with his use, but as it is... he's not too responsible for what these kids do with their free time. That, and it'd been way too long since he'd had a good smoke. Whenever he sees Fang, he gives her a non-committal nod.]
Hey. Enjoying the weather?
\o/
Look like it's the perfect night to enjoy it.

I'd think so. I'm normally not one for nature, but... this place could make a believer out of me soon enough.
A!!
Fisherman's Horizon was definitely a much different experience than both Balamb and Esthar, and she kind of liked it. It didn't have the busy atmosphere either of them had, nor did it have the kind of atmosphere Garden itself had, either... Though she'd come to call it home, it wasn't the same. But this place really did bring her back, quite a bit.
Halfway down the bridge, she was skip-hopping along, humming something she'd made up off the top of her head, when she happened to look up— and spot a figure in the distance. Raising a hand to shield her eyes, she peered out at the silhouette, only to smile and start running when she realized it was a familiar one. ]
Fang..!
<3
Vanille! I was wondering when this'd bring you out.

[ She's teasing, of course, and by the time she's gotten over to her, she's ready to steal herself a hug! ]
