round four | action, pool

[As much as Tom hated to admit it, exercising in the Boxing room just wasn't cutting it out for him. Some of his colleagues suggested that he should get a workout in the training center, but as Tom saw it? That was less a workout and more a "excuse in killing monsters." The pacifist in him wouldn't agree to unnecessary fighting!

So in the end, Tom settled for heading towards the pool. Granted, he hadn't had swimming classes in forever - and the werepanther in him hesitated the moment he walked onto the area - but anything had to be better than killing monsters for the sake of getting some fresh air and exercise.

Throwing his towel onto one of the beach chairs, Tom walks towards the edge of the pool and takes a deep breath. It's okay, it's just water... he can dive in at any moment...

Except he doesn't. Someone push the werekitty in already? It's pretty obvious, from the way he's flailing, that he's not going in anytime soon.]

[Botan looks briefly startled, a hand covering her mouth in bemusement. She hadn't been expecting that response from Tom, but it's amusing nonetheless~ A little water never hurt anyone, now did it? She moves over to sit next to him, lazily kicking underneath the water.]

But that means it's now the present, not the future!

[He can't argue with that logic. He lazily moves his hand in the water as he turns to look at her.]

Fair enough. [He laughs, rubbing the back of his neck.] You planning on getting some laps done too?

[Botan nods, stilling her feet.]

At least five, for some good exercise and the rest was about beating the heat!

How about we make one of them a race? See who could get to the other side faster an' all?

Oho! [She laughs with excitement, there is a gleam in her eye about a race.] Like old times, hmm~?

Exactly like old times! On the count of three---[Already preparing to go! Of course Tom'd be interested when it's a friendly competition.]

[Botan is preparing right as well. She's not as fast as she is on her oar, thankfully, but she can do well enough. SeeD trained and all.]

Two.... Three! [And he's off like a speeding light. Hurry up and catch him!]

[Botan grins and pushes in with a strong kick off, doing her best to not only catch him but out-speed him. She won't let you win, Tom! At least, not easily.]

[He miiiight be going easy on her, what with his need to take more breaths than normal, but it also might be that he's a little out of practice. Either way, he doesn't look back until he's reached the other edge of the water.]

[Botan miiiight not notice, that. She's just too intent on beating out her biffle/brother, and tags the other edge, before kicking off.]

[He tags after her - of course - before speeding off towards the other side again. Sure, he might be splashing around a lot, but he's having way too much fun.]

[On the second time around, she starts to slow down, focused on not laughing and ending up needing air with all the fun she's having.]
