SCENARIO ONE: CAFETERIA

[In-between classes, Cissie's situated herself in the cafeteria with a notepad, pen, and a couple of books. With titles like 'Dating for Dummies' and 'A History of Balamb Garden', it seems like she's doing more than just homework. Every now and then, she glances up from her work to look around - and maybe to get a soda or two.

This time, before getting some more food, she walks over to the nearest table and points a thumb towards her stuff:] Hey, could you look after my stuff for a moment? I wanna grab a soda.

Um... if you want, I could get you something to eat too! It wouldn't be a problem.

[Especially since cafeteria food these days've gotten a lot better. Now she actually doesn't mind going for seconds!]

SCENARIO TWO: BART'S ROOM

[Knock knock, Bart! Cissie's standing in front of his door with a freshly-baked batch of chocolate chip oatmeal cookies. She'll need the cookies - or so she thinks - to actually say what she wants to say this time.]

Hey, if you need any help for last-minute stuff, I've totally got your back. I know campaigning can be pretty rough - a bunch of my friends did it back home - so I don't mind pitching in every now and then.

I only read what we have to. [ There's nothing wrong with reading, though! Except that it's so... Passive, and you sit down and do it... ]

Ah, really? Thanks!

[ She stops to think for a moment... ] Well... I don't know if I need anything now, but, I might later? I'm done with the posters and Aang already handed out cookies... I'm not too sure there's much else to be done.

Nothing wrong with that! I know my best friends think like that too.

[Hmmm... if there's not much else left campaigning-wise...] Then why don't I treat you to a mani-pedi the night before? It'll be a fun way to de-stress from everything.

[ She laughs. ] Not that there's anything wrong with reading for fun, I guess? As long as you're having fun doing it, it doesn't matter what anyone else thinks!

Ah... A... Many... Pedy?

[Cissie grins, pointing to her hands and toes.] It's short for "a manicure and pedicure." There's this great salon in Balamb that does your nails for pretty cheap, so I was planning on heading there myself... but it's way more fun when you bring a friend.

Ooh! [ She... Takes a moment to look at her own fingernails. Clean, but not exactly pretty. ]

I'd love to go then! It'll be fun..!

[ Actual fun, and not reading-a-book fun! ]

Awesome! What'd be a good time for me to come get you? I'm free whenever that day.

[She's already picturing it now... it'd really be a lot more fun than just going by herself!]

Um... Anytime early in the day should be good, huh?

[ Because she's less tired when she's just gotten up, usually. ]

[Cissie can't help making a slight face. She's not much of a morning person, but she'll deal with it for this!] Got it. I'll grab you around 11 and we'll do the works!

In the meantime... good luck with homework. I know you'll ace it.

Great! [ She really excited about this! And hopes she can sleep the night before... ]
