option a;

[Rose is in the training center, fighting some of the weaker monsters. she takes them down easily enough, but doesn't seem to notice or care that they're dead. she continues to pound into them, her face completely impassive as she inflicts greater and greater damage on their still forms. obviously whatever she's looking for from this fight wasn't present]

option b;

[some time later she's in the library, knitting furiously at something as she pours over a book. her focus is completely on the book, however, and she's oblivious to the fact that some of her yarn has rolled off the table and into the heavy traffic area of the floor. you'd better be careful, it's too easy to twist an ankle in this stuff and go down.]

I'm a bit skeptical of her faculties if she hasn't changed much in coming close on to five years.

We all joined marching band about three years ago, I think? Three or four!

It's really cool, I'm glad we did.

I still don't see any merit in taking up that sort of activity, but it may be that the differences in our universe have soured my views on superfluous extracurriculars.
