action; the lobby outside the dormitories

[Kanaya is standing quite still near the center of the room; she has what looks like a quarter of a bedsheet wrapped around her head, and a hole has been cut in- sawed in, possibly, judging by the ruin that's been wreaked on the cloth- for her eyes. Dark green liquid is soaking through the wrapping in several places. She got here fairly quickly after searching her assigned respiteblock and reading the letter twice, but now that she's reached a common area, she's stymied by the sheer range of unfamiliar and inexplicable options before her.

A school, the letter had said. There had to be antiseptic somewhere: how else would you clean up after an unruly student had been culled? But for the moment- well, if she had breath to catch, she would be catching it. As it is, she tries to regain her bearings, and stares out through her makeshift mask with wary interest.]

It's a facetious lavender, actually. Lilac is best left to the bushes from which the shade derives its name, in my opinion.

There's a ridiculous amount of ceremonial splattering of various liquids throughout the night, yes. I daresay you'll fit right in on that front.

An five-page apology note notarized with a drop of your blood should do with a start. Once you've gathered up enough steam I imagine that you'll be able to procure a sky-writing service to broadcast your heartfelt grief over the fashion misstep to the rest of the world. I can only hope that a storm doesn't brew on your scheduled date.

And as I also mentioned, I have no idea what month said holiday is carried out in this universe. Your decision to abstain from the festivities is deeply saddening on a personal level for me, but I'll attempt to carry on with the merrymaking in your name.

I had thought of requiring a full-canvas masterpiece of you, but then I realized that it may be too taxing on your faculties and relented in offering the simpler option. I'm incredibly glad that you feel my oration is able to control the very weather itself, but large amounts of bullshit floating through the sky has been known to down far smaller objects than a measly airplane. I'd be careful.

What's in a name? That which we call a flighty broad by any other name would still be as snarky.

There has to be some sort of challenge, else it wouldn't be a sincere apology. I'm sure you'll rise to the challenge admirably. I wish you luck with your aerial assault on the adverse effects of nature, but have very little faith in your success.

A chance I'm afraid I'll have to brave for the sake of my most sacred human holiday.
