[Action]

[Clark will be walking around today, getting acquainted with the building again. Everything's the same... yet different. When you spend almost a year outside you tend to fill your memories with a few touches of your imagination. He goes to the cafeteria, the training room, his own room... he touches the walls every now and then, he's feeling kind of nostalgic.

Feel free to say hi to him... and he'll probably come to you if he knows you. He's also wearing his Superman suit, if that makes any difference to your character.]

It's been a while, hasn't it? I didn't mean to get nostalgic but I kind of... got lost in the memories.

It's time for presentations I guess, isn't it? Some of you won't remember me. Most of you even, so it's only fair. My name is Clark Kent, and I will be your instructor if you need to improve your English. But I will always leave my door open if you have any kind of problems so do not hesitate to come to me. I can't promise you I will have all of the answers, but I can promise my best shoot and total confidence.

Trust me, I am good at keeping secrets.

That said, it'll be a pleasure to know you all, and also a pleasure to meet old acquaintances again as well.

[You probably can hear that accelerated heartbeat right? Because Dick is so excited. And following you like a lost puppy. Except more like stalking. Because...well he has no reason. Probably just waiting for you to call him out or something.]

[He would probably be able to hear his heartbeat even without Superhearing. He never understood Dick's little games- but he doesn't seem to mind. He's let him follow him long enough though, he guesses.]

Not even going to say hi?

[A soft rustle and Dick comes out of his hiding spot he's currently in. He just gives the other a childish grin. He'd jump onto you, but a grown man suddenly tackle hugging another grown man is probably pretty silly.]

I was waiting until you noticed me.

[He hovers in front of him and reaches to ruffle his hair. He's still a kid to Clark's eyes so he can do that. Hush.]

That didn't take long. But considering I can hear practically everything going on in this place...

[He laughs a little and tries nudging your hand away.] Hey, come on. I'm twenty-six now. I think I'm past the hair ruffling age. [He doesn't sound bothered though.]

So you just let me follow you for awhile?

[Was eating when Superman walked in, but he's not doing much eating anymore. Instead, he's just sort of staring at the man who walked in the door. The SUPERman who just walked in. When did Father's alien show up?]

[Despite herself, Mikuru catches herself eying that Superman suit with some mild confusion. She opens her mouth to comment on it and then thinks better of it and eats a mouthful of potato salad instead.]

I know. But you know what they say about old habits.

[He grins a bit at him] You didn't really think you were able to sneak on me, did you?

[He isn't sure if he'd like to be called Bruce's alien... he doesn't even notice the stare though, just walking around. He wanted some intimacy before he introduced himself to his students, and the suit (weirdly enough) helped.]

[Oh my god what. Tim didn't expect Superman to be here, out of everyone. And he forgot about getting in some training as he went over to see him.]

Excuse me, Superman? [Would he even know him? No idea.]

[He doesn't mind the stares... much. At least not for now, while people get used to it. He does give her a smile though.]

[Well... he wasn't expecting to not be recognized, but it's still a surprise for somebody to use that name.

...And then he listens to his heartbeat. The sounds his body makes. He look at him... he's grown up but there's really no mistaking him.]

...Tim?

[On his way to his next class Conner stops dead in his tracks. There's an odd tingling sensation - and no we're not talking about the whole his spidy-senses are tingling, we're talking about the unfamiliar and very faint sensation of being near another Kryptonian. It's the sensation one gets whenever they feel like they're being watched, the hair on the back of the neck lifts, goose bumps dot the arms even though the being is hardly cold at all. He's experienced it a few times in the past whenever he was around the larger Kyptonian man but Conner never thought back on it, always mistook it for anger and whatever other foreign negative emotion he felt being in Superman's presence.

Conner turns his head a fraction and listens with his super-hearing. He can make out random conversations, heartbeats... but he can't make out why... he's got this feeling. So he turns around and finds himself staring straight ahead at the one man, being, god, superhero he longed to be like.

It was disappointing, back home, to find out his abilities were made to be exactly like Superman's and yet they weren't. They were weaker, different. And then to find out the man himself acted like he wanted nothing to do with him, could barely talk to him without looking and sounding uncomfortable, like he was forcing himself for the sake of the League (or under Batman's threatening tone) to interact with him.

So many times had Superman been dismissive of him...

Conner sets his jaw and can't help the hard look he gives him, the muscle in his cheek flexing as he grits his teeth. Of course he's expecting Superman to dismissively wave him off or mention something about 'League business' and take off without another word. Even if this world is different and there is no Justice League, Superman's here, who's to say the other members won't show up? Batman, Black Canary, Red Tornado, Flash, Wonder Woman...

As Conner stands his ground, the only thing that might give him away is the fact that his Garden jacket is undone and he's wearing his S-shield shirt underneath.]

[It honestly takes everything Conner has not to float over to Clark. He'd just gotten there, and it was his first day. He felt relieved to see such a familiar and reassuring sight.

He quickly makes his way over to him, smiling brightly.] Kal, I- You don't know how happy I am to see you.

[He gives a small, almost relived smile.]

You remember me. I thought I was going to get you confused with another version of yourself.

[Oh, no, he caught her staring! Mikuru blushes.] I-I'm sorry! It was rude of me to stare...

[Waits until he's nearby (yes, he knows you have super hearing, alien) before addressing him directly.] Superman? When did you arrive?

[It'd have been silly to expect not to be recognized. He still looks surprised... he hadn't heard that heartbeat before.]

...A day ago. Do I know you, son?

It's no bother. [Really, he's used to it.] Did you need anything though?

Well, I... don't mean to break your bubble but that's still certainly possible.

[He tilts his head] You're... slightly different than what I remember. Not to mention older.

[It's a pity he has to disappoint you, Conner... because as happy as you are to see him, he won't recognize you.]

I- ah... I'm glad? How do you know that name?

Old habits die hard? If they even do die.

Of course not. I like to pretend I can sometimes. Even if I know better.

There's only one human able to sneak on me, and I can never figure out how does he manage to.

[He smiles at him] Are you back here to teach, too?

[Mikuru shakes her head.] No, I was just wondering...

[It is the stupidest of stupid questions, Mikuru decides.] Never mind, it's silly.

The only silly thing would be not to ask. I promise I will not laugh.
