[If there's one good thing about her line of work it's that it makes things like "You just got pulled into a different universe by a magic spell gone rogue" that much more plausible. After all she's already had her mind wiped once by a guy with weird mind powers and she's got a teammate from Mars. What's a little dimension hopping in the grand scheme of things?]

[That doesn't mean she's completely happy about this mind you, but frankly it could have been worse. A duffel with all her stuff over one shoulder, she glances over the directory carefully. Might as well memorize it now rather than later. She's already got that letter memorized after all for all the good it's going to do her.]

I thought changing from Gotham North to Gotham Academy was bad. Now I have to go to school in a completely different universe? [She sighs.] Didn't see that one coming.

[Come bother her? She might be grumpy, but she won't bite...unless provoked or your name happens to be Wally.]

Has anyone been monitoring Time Compression and it's side effects? I want to figure out how likely it is for anyone else from my world to show up.

Are you lost?

[Woah. When did he suddenly get behind you? It's like he has that crazy voodoo appearing and disappearing magic that Robin has. Who knows.] I can help you if you have any questions or comments about this place. Instructor Grayson by the way. You can just call me Dick if you wish though.

[A pause.] By chance did you mention Gotham just now?

[crockshot]

No. Being lost would mean I don't know where I am. [She glances from him to the directory pointedly.] I'm just memorizing the layout so I don't get lost later. That's all.

[She's used to the crazy ninja voodoo appearance thing by now so it doesn't phase her.]

Haven't really been here long enough to have any questions. If I think of any maybe I'll look you up. [Her lips quirk up into a smile, she really can't help it.] I bet you've heard all the jokes already so I won't bother. My name's Artemis.

[That's actually pretty reassuring.] I might have. What's it to you?

I suppose that is true. You didn't look like you were aimlessly looking at the directory like most of the other students. The layout is pretty straightforward after the first few days.

[She probably is.]

If you know where my classroom is, I'll usually be there. If not, I tend to frequent the training center and the cafeteria. [He laughs a little.] I'm used to the jokes, don't worry. They don't bother me all that much. A pleasure Artemis.

I'm from Gotham, so I guess I couldn't help but ask about it. I kind of miss it.

Look once, memorize it, and then never have to bother with it again. Seems like the easiest way to handle it. [She glances at the directory again.] I've been in malls more complicated than this.

[At least he didn't do the laugh thing. So really his ninja thing isn't too bad so far.]

They don't exactly bother telling us where the classrooms are on here, but I can find my way to the training center or cafeteria easily enough. [She smiles, maybe this guy isn't so bad especially compared to some of the office people here.] The most you'll probably get out of me is the occasional "Don't be such a Dick" unless you do something to earn it.

Wait. [That catches her attention and fast.] You're from Gotham, too? Are there any others?

[Because if she's here and he's here there's a good chance that there are other people from Gotham (and by extension, her world) here too.]

[Here's a familiar face. She probably never expected to see him here but he on the other figured that if M'gann was already here and various other 'Robins', then the rest of his own team could arrive anytime. And it seems like one of the other members has.

Conner's paused in his walk around Garden, blinking and looking in Artemis's direction. That has to be Artemis, no one else on his team can hold as grumpy a face as that other than him. So he heads in her direction.]

Seems like M'gann and I aren't the only ones here anymore. Where are the others?

[Thankfully grumpy isn't her only expression. Hearing his voice she looks up and actually smiles.]

Thought I was the only one here, so if anyone there's anyone else I haven't seen them.

[She turns her back on the directory then, memorizing it can wait. She's already got the basics down anyway.]

Time Compression probably explains why you've both been here for weeks, but I remember seeing you yesterday.

[It's starting to feel like he'll see a new face every time he glances over at that directory. Tom can't help raising an eyebrow as he wanders over to her and folds her arms.]

Nothing, really. Just thought you could use a helping hand on your first day. [Eyebrow raise.] It is your first day, right?

It's my first day. [She relaxes her stance a little.] I'm not used to having help.

[She doesn't typically want it either. It kind of ruins her whole image for the most part.]

There have been theories produced from the Odine Company through research and monitoring, but I'm afraid nothing conclusive nor significant to speak of has come to show from it. For a while, it would appear the only way to get through here would be through a course of heightened emotional response, such as great anguish or an epiphany of sorts. However, some individuals have arrived through means that seem as if time just "misplaced" them.

It seems as if the Time Compression just opens up at random, for the time being. No pun intended, dear.

What seems to be random can sometimes have a pattern if you crunch enough numbers. That's why I was asking if anyone had any information, guess I'll just have to get my own.

I realize that, dear, but as I said "random for the time being". We're not sure what will show itself in time; their might've already been a pattern emerging twenty years into our future, but for us, in this time, we do not know. It's all rather tricky stuff.

However, if you're after information to crunch, I have some files I've kept that you're more than welcome to see and copy.

[Tim was just walking by on his way to his next class when he saw someone who could use help. Going over, he caught the tail end of the talk to herself.]

Patterns don't always have to be clear. Sometimes you can't get a good picture of things until you look at the hard facts.

Once you figure in all the contributing factors it should be pretty easy to get a picture of what's going on.

[It seems as though it's a regular sight these days, M'gann toting around a box of baked goods or food of some sort. She's just finished another batch of cookies and is heading back to her dorm when she stops mid-talk, eyes spotting the blonde.

Too overjoyed to think otherwise, M'gann calls out excitedly while rushing over.]

[It takes a moment for Artemis to recognize her. She's still not used to not-green M'gann really. Thankfully her voice is easily recognizable and that helps clear up the puzzle in record time.]

[She's startled, but happy and she smiles at the other girl.]
