[This is Rikku. Rikku's about as confused as you can get. She wanted to go to the Thunder Plains, not some crazy world with a military academy. She's a pickpocket/techie, not a merc!

...But there's lots of cool machina here, so if nothing else, maybe she can study this stuff, get some plans drawn up, and take them with her when she goes home.

For now, though, she's just sort of sitting in the quad, under a tree, watching all the people go by and trying not to look terrified. How well that's working depends on how observant you are.

Also? She's still in her bikini.]

[Sokka outstretches a hand. No, he won't come right out and say "damn gurl, you need to put some clothes on, stat" but... maybe it wouldn't be such a bad idea if she did? Yes, even with his enlightened attitude toward women, he's still a bit traditional. Besides, there's a lot of boys close to his age here. And they're probably not as awesome as he is.]

[Sokka ushers her down the corridor, toward the wing where the dorms reside.]

So! What's your specialization?

... okay, I actually have no idea what that is. But I've done stuff with one before, and it's pretty neat! They can even send messages through this whole place.

It's like messenger hawks, but in the future.

No, but you don't see a lot of people in big, long dresses either. There's a lot of oceans and beaches there, and most people live either on the coast or on an island.

Well, then it sounds like you'll get used to this place. Not me, though. I'm still not sure if I'm going crazy or not. [But he shrugs, indicating that he's joking. Mostly.]

Okay, so! Here's where the dorms are. After you get settled I can show you around if you want. I've traveled the world, so I'd like to think I'm a pretty awesome tour guide.
