004 Hope Estheim - [Action]
[Hope is having a good time keeping up with all his book heavy classes. And by that? I mean he's sitting with a take-out cup of tea at a table in the cafeteria two sets of books infront of him. His pad is lying open with his pen alternating between his right hand and his mouth and the page of course.
He sips the tea and rubs his eye. How long had he been here again? Yet he could not make Global Stratification exciting to him. The definitions the applications and everything about it was just not getting him interested like the other subjects. The system of inequalities between the countries of this world weren't really capturing his attention. But, compared to the Physics and Biology books on his table, it was more interesting.
Book subjects? Why did he take so many book heavy subjects. He drops his pen and puts his head on his paper. He takes a couple of deep breaths before sitting up to look at the door. It was warm outside... he thinks longingly.
However, Hope didn't realise that putting your head on wet ink is a bad idea. He now has upside down notes written on his forehead.]

However, Hope didn't realise that putting your head on wet ink is a bad idea. He now has upside down notes written on his forehead.]

I don't think you want your notes on your forehead, Hope.
no subject
Wha?
[A gloved hand goes to his forehead. ... Ink. Fantastic.]
Great. That's... embarrassing...
no subject
Here. You can still get it off before it dries out.
no subject
[He takes the napkin and starts to wipe at the ink on his forehead. It fades... but if you're close enough? You can still see it.]
How do I look?
no subject
There's still some left. You might want to go to the bathroom to wash that off.

[His teenager instincts told him that moving would be a bad idea. He looked down at his notes. A little smudging but it was still legible.]
I was working on my sociology notes. I couldn't get out into it... Global Stratification is... I understand it but it's not sticking the way the other stuff does.
no subject
Maybe you should take a break first. It might help them stick more if you're not thinking about going outside.

[There's a guy at the next table, and he's pointing a finger at Hope. He looks rather amused.]

[Stay coherent Hope! He lifts his hand and pokes his forehead and looks at the sticky bluish black residue on his glove. He then sighs.]
Great. Thanks for telling me.
[He sighs and goes to get some napkins.]
no subject
Maybe you should, uh, lighten your load a bit?
no subject
[Hope sighs and starts to rub at his head with a damp napkin.]
It's interesting stuff, helps me know about this world.
no subject
[There's a pretty obvious note of incredulity to his voice.]

[Then the first half of her greeting registers.]
Wha-- [Hand wipe on forehead.] Oh...
[Hope sighs and shakes his head.]
Feel free. I'll go get a napkin.
no subject
What class was it for, anyways?
no subject
Or Physics and Biology. Take your pick really. [He nods and accepts the napkin, wiping at the smudges on his forehead.]

[He stops himself. He didn't really want to go into an in depth explanation of his study plan.]
I will. I learned... I learned that asking for help is sometimes the best thing to do.

[Poke at own forehead. He looks down at his finger which now has a purplish black goo on it. He looks at it for a minute before going to get a napkin.]
Great. Well. That's a little embarrassing.
