<sub>[Having been here for about a month now, Cocona's opinion of Garden so far was that it... was relatively alright, though her opinion of her overall situation hadn't exactly improved. It was still going to take some time to get used to, this whole attending a military school deal. She got room and board out of it, but there were restrictions, and Cocona didn't really enjoy a lack of places to practice V-Boarding.

That said, Cocona can be found in a few places today:

A. At the Training Center, like a lot of folks lately, taking on the local Grat population. As much as she'd like to take on the T-Rexaur, it's... a little out of her league for now.

B. In the cafeteria during lunch! Without any issues of V-Style Magazine to work with, she's been jotting down notes and ideas for future V-Boarding techniques. As much as she hates to admit it, though, it'd be nice to have someone else familiar with the sport to bounce ideas off of or to get suggestions from, like... Aoto...

Or maybe not necessarily Aoto.

C. In the quad... V-Boarding, yup. To her credit, she's tried to pick a time where people wouldn't be in the area, but if you happen to stumble across her, she won't hit you or anything. Actually... she's pretty skilled at this! Sure, there's the possibility she'll get into trouble in the end, but for the meanwhile, she's content to V-Board somewhere where there aren't monsters.]</sub>

That's because it's a magazine for V-Boarding enthusiasts! A new issue comes out four times a year, and they usually cover the latest trends and tips for V-Boarding.

They're kind of like.... skateboards? But they float in the air. _{[there is a more detailed explanation but that can come later...]}

Er... or whatever they're called! V-Board is short for 'Vertical Board', in any case; they were designed originally to scale large outcroppings like cliffs, or the Tower wall. They float in the air, so I wouldn't really say they can slide on ice, though.

[T-Rexaurs are a thing of the past for Grell. She's kind of switching between weapons, though. Currently, she's getting more use of her chain whip, using it to trip up a T-Rexaur before going in for the KILL

The DC's so boo; so's the rule that apparently covers V-Boarding, too, but mostly, just the DC. _{[But oh no.... she won't let them catch her. She'd be without a weapon if it got confiscated, anyway.]} I'll keep an eye out for them.

... That'd be even more boo. It's too bad there aren't a lot of places to practice V-Boarding, in any case; it's just one of the many boo things about being stuck in this boo place, aside from the terrible lack of Gergo!

Huh... really? It's a really popular sport where I'm from. I heard there was something like it here, but I haven't checked it out for myself yet.

I guess that's understandable; I'd be pretty amazed to see something like a V-Board if I didn't know what they were.

So, how does that thing work?

They're powered by a kind of technology called 'Flipper'... a motor, more or less. Mine's really lightweight, though, because I also use it as my weapon. Basically, you balance on it, and you can go places! In the old days, I heard V-Boards were created to scale large outcroppings like cliffs, but these days, it's a competitive sport.

Cocona's V-Board has some kind of interlock feature?? That can make it a whole board or two parts?? So she'll just divide the board into separate halves since she wields the thing like a tonfa...]</sub>
