hi everyone! i just figured out how to make my text colored. pretty, huh? anyway i never posted on this thing except one time but i think i finally figured it all out. i could read on it for class and stuff but it took a lot of poking around to find out how to talk to everyone on it. so hi!! i'm vanille in case you were wondering. nice to meet you all. i hope we can be friends! i don't know if you heard but someone said i should be homecoming princess! that was really nice of them... but i guess now i have to make my own banners too! i made some for grell and bulla already but i never thought i'd have to make some for me! but since it was so much fun the first time it can only be more fun now, right? i'm really excited about it! if anyone wants to help i'm going to go get supplies to make them later so we can do that! i'll bring some cookies or something! i'll need help hanging them up too. oh and someone told me about a place in the training center i want to check out. they said it was a secret! i'd never seen it before and since its a secret i don't know where it is. does anyone wanna show me? they said it was a good place to get action at... if i find it i bet i could show it to fang! she'd probably like it, not that there aren't enough monsters to fight as it is huh? but more action is never a bad thing. well thats it i think. um i guess i should say please vote for me! it would make me really happy. i wish i could vote for everybody... bye now!! SCENARIO A

[ Much like before nominations, you will find Vanille in the lobby, sprawled over yet another large banner— this time yellow with bright, pink, glittery lettering, coloring furiously and painting little shapes all over it. It reads: 'VOTE FOR VANILLE.' Or, maybe she's done, and she's trying to hang the banner in one of the various corridors or hallways. There are also several other posters laying half-finished... Clearly, she has a lot of work on her hands (as well as a good amount of glue, and by proxy, glitter).

Beware, if she sees you walking by? She's asking if you'd like to help. But at the very least, not far from where she's seated, there's a plate of what looks to be brownies sandwiched between cookies, so the work would not go unrewarded! ]

SCENARIO B

[ For the past few days, Vanille was most likely found, if not in class or in her dorm or at lunch, in the training center. But, it doesn't look like she's training. No, instead, she seems to be looking for smething. For what is a little unclear by just looking at her. Of course, anyone who's seen her post on the BBS might have an idea or two why it is she's snooping around like she is. She's looking for something.

The secret spot. So far, it's eluded her, but she's determined to find it! ]

[ Vanille tries a smile. She feels like Lightning might need to see one, right now. ]

I don't think anyone has yet.

But, we're all here now, huh? I'm sure we can figure it all out together!

[ As long as they were together... They were fine! ]

[She doesn't need to see one, but that doesn't mean the attempt isn't appreciated. A little.]

If they have, they just haven't told us. [And she can't think of Snow or Hope or Sazh not telling them. Fang not telling them would...never happen. Not with Vanille involved.]

Right. If we figured out how to stop our focus, we can figure this out.

[And they would. It would just take some time time.]

[ So dere, Lightning.

She shakes her head. ] They wouldn't do that! They'd tell us.

[ She knows Snow was working hard to sort everything out. He was getting Raines' help, too... She couldn't blame him, considering Lightning was like a sister to him, and for a while, Claire was the only 'Lightning' they had. ]

Wait— ah... Our Focus?

[ What does she mean, a way to stop it..? ]

[Only to family. The rest of the time she's all tsun.]

Yeah. Snow can't keep a secret to save his life.

[She'd know that, because his face was really just one gigantic tell to those who knew him well enough. Even now, after spending a year apart, she could still read him.

And stopped was probably the wrong wording, so Lightning is just going to nod.]

You remember, right? We stopped Orphan from using us to destroy Cocoon.

[ Vanille's expression falls into confusion once more, and she shakes her head.

It's obviously another matter of Time Compression at work, here, but... That can't be true, huh? There's no way to stop a Focus... As much as she wanted to believe, even she knew that going to Gran Pulse to look for a solution was just a wild goose chase. ]

I don't... Remember anything like that.

The last I remember... We'd just gotten to Gran Pulse.

[Lightning understands that confusion all too well, so her tone is kinder than normal when she speaks, trying to explain something that she doesn't truly understand herself.]

We made it to Oerba, and went back to Cocoon after Dysley attacked us. We found Orphan and destroyed him, but...you and Fang gave yourselves up to stop Cocoon from falling after that fight.

[ As if on instinct, Vanille's hand goes to clutch the material of her skirt, right over her brand, now whited out and scarred over, just like Fang's, as well as everyone else she knew who had theirs— Snow, Serah, Hope. Inactive. A time bomb that was no longer ticking.

So they'd made it to Oerba... And then went back. Destroyed Orphan... ]

Me and... Fang? [ It's obviously confusing to her, brows kneading in concern. How was any of that possible? How could they give themselves up to stop Cocoon from falling? Their Focus was to destroy Cocoon. It was everyone's Focus. So how... ]

I don't remember. [ Or understand. ]

[Lightning can tell it's a lot to take in, especially with the way Vanille is reacting, so she gives the younger woman a moment to let it all sink in before she sighs, shaking her head. If she doesn't remember, there's...really no point.]

Don't worry about it. If you just got to Pulse, it hasn't happened yet. [Different times, different worlds...Fal'Cie. Why does this have to be so complicated?]

[ Easier said than done, Lightning. But she will drop the matter for the moment, while she lets it soak in. She forces a smile, and rather well, considering the state of turmoil her mind is in. ]

Ah— yeah. [ She won't worry about it... Outwardly. ]

So, ah— you're here because you're training, right?

[She's not as good at reading Vanille as Fang is, so that forced smile does get past Lightning decently well, even if she thinks it's just a little too easy for Vanille to drop the subject.

However, she does nod and look back around the training center.]

Yeah. No point in letting my skills get rusty.

[ It is too easy; suspiciously so. Part of Vanille doesn't even think she wants to know what happens in their future... And besides: they're here, now. She doesn't want to go back, ever— so what's the point in learning what happened? Even if, now, she's more curious than she ever would have been. Curious and scared. ]

Right-! And you've got a class to teach, huh? It's too bad I'm not taking any of those subjects this semester...
