[So what, exactly, is the internet? --For that matter, what exactly is a computer? Raidou has to ask for the librarian's help about five times, but he gets the browser up and running and figures out where to click in order to enter text into the BBS' update form. The keyboard is hard to navigate in a foreign language, and he has to peck at each key individually, but slow progress is progress nonetheless, and soon he has four sentences all typed out and posted.

The next step he has to take is to wrap his mind around the idea that multiple people can communicate with him at once; he's under the impression now that there's only one person on the "other side of the internet," and he should communicate with them much like you would if you were exchanging letters with a stranger.]

Japanese, then? [ ] Although I'm certain finding a translation in some other language wouldn't be all that difficult.

[Raidou nods after she says Japanese, but he frowns slightly when he sees her touching the back of her neck - is it intentional, he wonders? But before she can see him, he averts his gaze.]

[Now, Raidou doesn't know much about computers, but he's at least seen his classmates use them. This is entirely unprecedented, especially because it's a combination of humans and technology - weren't they supposed to be separate? No matter how much it surprises him, though, he has to stay calm and not overreact: there's nothing worse you can do to a lady than to make her feel alienated, so he keeps his face completely neutral as he writes another response.]

Not at all! This is nothing more than a simple task. [ ] This, of course, is based on computers from my own world; however, the differences are minimal, and so it should be more than adequate for this purpose. Now, there ought be a printer somewhere – aha! [ ]

[Today is a day of surprises, isn't it? He could vaguely grasp the idea of a PC, but a printer is something else. Raidou finds himself leaning forward, watching the paper being fed into the machine and then spat out with words on them - similar to a printing press, yes, but also somehow entirely different.]

[At that, Raidou's expression brightens, and he looks back at her, trying to judge whether she's joking or not. He decides that she isn't - and it pleases him.]

I'd say it's more respawing than reanimation, really. Rin and Len – my youngest siblings – have an unfortunate habit of running over anyone who causes problems for them, or offence against them, and, well, one of their favourite targets is our older brother. I've lost count of how many times we've had to repair him entirely. [ ]

Ah, but if you don't mind, might I inquire as to what you mean when you say reanimation?

[As she speaks, Raidou watches Luka carefully: he can't help but feel like that's something they have in common - "repairing" people (or in Raidou's case, demons) after they've been completely obliterated.]

Very much in a mechanical sense, yes! Our technology may be highly advanced, but I don't believe that magic exists in any sort of tactile, imposing way. [ ]

[The final pages of the document slide into the printer tray, and Raidou leans over to pick them up and stack them into a neat pile on his desk.]

Similar, yes, though I'm certain there'd be some way to implement magic with the ever advancing technology. [ ] Really, though, I couldn't say! It's entirely beyond me.
