[Not wanting to suck the life out of the quad and not feeling up to training, Snow had found himself a seat on one of the raised planters that held a few small trees and some decorative plants, out past the ID checkpoint in the landscaped area. There he sat, hands on his knees, head bowed, and thought.]

[In his right hand, he held a crystal.]

[As far as he knew... he had lost a sister. And he was amazed how much it hurt.]

She was... she was here before, too. I thought I wanted her back, but if this is how she's going to be here...

[There's enough of a hysteric note in his voice that Snow stops himself, putting one hand to his head like he's trying to keep it from breaking.]

[After a moment of composing himself, he manages to at least come up with a little humor.]

[Snow's in about the same mood. He isn't sure he can, with Serah alive and well and non-crystal, and their lives not in danger.]

I was something of an idiot back then, though. I didn't deserve all of Lightning's hate, but I deserved some of it.

Maybe I should start by apologizing to her. She probably deserves one from me.

[The reverse is definitely true as well, but Snow has no unrealistic expectations of that happening...]
