[Action/Quad] Toys for... well, most everyone he knows!

[Those out in the Quad today are almost guaranteed to notice the gigantic black wolf running crazily around, in pursuit of -- what else? -- a red, bouncing rubber ball. While it occasionally gets out of his grasp, he always eventually snatches it, quickly rushing back to one of the taller trees where Tobias is settled. Breaker drops the ball into his lap, giving a growled wolf as Tobias flings it as hard as he can in another direction, starting the chase all over again.

The boy himself seems thoughtful, turning one of his throwing knives over and over in his hand idly as he sighs deeply. By his side are a bunch of stuffed dolls he took from his temporary visit home -- a fire bird, some sort of ghost, an odd dragon-serpent, and plenty of others, all poking out of a bag.]

...I almost wish I hadn't gone back at all.

I understand.

[That, however, was one of the things that Tobias had expected -- if not quite worded that way -- and he just smiles. While he's had more practice with hiding his emotions, he's still pretty poor at it, so it's clear to see the upset part under it.]

[For once, Breaker stops to growl threateningly at Espio once dropping the ball back into Tobias's lap, but rather than throw it again, he just reaches up to start petting the oversized dog.]

SWOOPS IN

[Grell was going to head over to see how Toby was doing, but decides to hang about in the shadows when Espio arrived. Their interaction is closely watched, and despite the distance, she can tell what transpired.

Surprisingly, that whole thing went better than she thought.

Strides over once Espio fled the scene. Oh! It's that black dog from before!]

...are you alright, sweetie?

[Tobias certainly doesn't look okay, but he just nods.]

Yeah. I'm fine.

No need to pretend with me. I only asked so I could hear it from you, not see it in your face. However cute it may be.

[Sits beside the other before hugging him, arms encircling his shoulders.]

You're brave for what you did. I'm proud of you, in any case.
