[Specifically, Jecht has taken up a pose in the lobby near the directory, where he has inexplicably stuck his massive sword into the floor to lean against. That T-shaped pommel is good support. He's acting like he owns the place, of course, reading the newsletter as he idly bounces a lumpy sort of ball off the ground with perfect accuracy despite not really paying attention.]

[ Nope. Still not impressed despite the smile but she'll give him points for panache. The fan snaps closed as she glances at the directory before turning her attention to Jecht with a teeny smile. ]

Name's Jecht. Just got back in from the field. Quarter's over, we're goin' to Esthar, and I gotta see what they can do about filling a sphere of water big enough to hold a game in.

[Pauses in his irritation to look over at Jecht. Whoa was this guy for real? Was that a sword stuck in the floor?.]

Yer best bet's on the second floor with the classrooms. [Jerking his thumb at the elevator.] 'Course people used to sometimes go to the quad'n play, too.

[Squall's on his way back up to his office when he spies Jecht leaning against the weapon. He pauses and backtracks, sighing to himself as he heads over to the so-called bronze man-god.]

[He looks down at the blitzball, then shrugs, catching it one-handed by sheer force of his grip.]

I suppose I could bounce it off a wall... Oh, hey. That reminds me. Catch.

[He lobs the ball underhanded towards Squall. Of course, just because Jecht made it look easy didn't mean it was -- blitzballs were meant to travel underwater at high speeds. That sucker is heavy.]

[Squall manages to catch it but not without taking it hard to the chest first. He ends up caught off-guard by how heavy it is and coughs out, shooting Jecht a glare.]

I wasn't talking about this... thing.

[He holds onto it, not handing it back, but nods towards the sword in the ground.]
