003 - quad/courtyard - open
[Tactical Strategy is literally a breeze for Ronald Weasley. He's pretty good at strategies, a champ and king and a master when it comes to chess. But put him out there in the realm of Economics and Psychology where he has to write up essays on top of studying for the course finals slotted for two hours from that time, Ron is left floundering and desperately keeping an eye out for his bushy-haired and studious friend.
The young wizard is alone and sitting outside at a picnic table with a pile of textbooks to his right. Three are spread out in front of him, the pages open. He might be distracted, though... unconsciously keeping an eye out for the witch; Ron hasn't seen much of her lately other for the classes they share, not even at dinner. He won't admit it but he's starting to get a little worried.
It's bad enough already that Harry's not with them and that they're STUCK here without a way to get home to continue in the search for the rest of the Horcruxes...
Nevertheless, against Hermione's past warning to keep his wand out of sight, Ron's got it out on the table next to him.
It comes as second nature really to reach over and fit his hand around it and shoot a glance in the direction of his knapsack, as he points the wand at it. The wrapped up sandwiches take a moment to wriggle free, and Ron puts down his pen (so different from the writing quills back home and yet not) to flex his hand from all the writing he's been doing on and off that afternoon to take the food from mid-air.
He's hungry and not at all paying any attention whatsoever if anyone noticed what he just did, unwrapping one sandwich to take a big bite, stuffing his cheek, chewing.]

[ Oh, she saw that, Ron. Just caught sight of your little thing with the sandwiches there... But if you're being one for not mentioning it, she won't say a thing. ]

[Ron remembers his manners, chewing and swallowing loudly.]
What d'you mean? I'm allowed to eat, aren't I? Are you tellin' me I can't eat a sandwich while I work now?

That... thing with your wand. But in any case...
[ A snap of her fan has her fanning herself slightly and glancing over his shoulder. ]
Need a hand with that? Considering how many you have open, I'm guessing you're in a bit of a bind.

[Ron's going to ignore the comment about the wand and reaches for it, pulling it down onto the bench at his side, out of sight.]

Need any help? Those look a little thick.

[Also suddenly grateful that he never arranged for a Boxing final. The mere thought of grading papers was pretty dreadful.]
