[There's a teenage boy glaring at a piece of paper in his hand, yelling indignantly at it.]

Time travel again?! Geez, at this rate, it's almost every other month! This is really getting on my nerves.

[At some point during his rant, he starts darting about the area, trying to familiarize himself with the place. Except he decides to ignore the warning about special powers in the welcome letter and is now moving so fast he appears to be in twelve places almost simultaneously. Oh, and he still hasn't bothered to change out of the blinding red and white spandex body suit he's in. He doesn't plan on staying long, so what are a few odd looks?]

[Finally, he settles in front of the map, memorizing it. Scowling, he grumbles to himself.]

Where's that treadmill when you need it?

[Needless to say, when the "warping" kid blasts past her, Maria is interested. She's used to keeping tabs on Shadow, so she eventually does manage to find him when he stops.]

The Flash has this treadmill you can use for time travel. But I think it's broken. [Impulse has no problem telling this stranger about his world. It's not like it's a secret.]

I can't say that's a bad thing. That name's kinda cool, too. [He grins. Okay, he could like this kid. Despite the weird powers, he had some spunk, plus he reminded him of a certain redhead back home.]

Isn't it? Batman gave it to me. [When he mentions this, he beams. His pride in his name is more childish than egotistical. Goose might not know it, but Batman is really cool. And scary. But mostly cool.]

[Who even knew these comic book guys were real? Goose was amazed. Pleased and amazed.]
