[Oh boy oh boy, trouble with Time Compression. Knuckles is clearly one of the ones affected, but... quite a bit too far. He's aged backwards almost all the way, meaning that there's a baby trying to climb onto a gem almost too big for him, even in its shrunk state. This, of course, means that he's falling all over himself, since it's not exactly balanced to hold itself up, especially with an infant trying to ride it.

Of course, leaving him alone in the hall like this probably isn't the best of ideas right now, so feel free to haul him up, jack the gem and run, punt him across the hall, whatever!]

[A shy looking fiery bluebird hops closer and chirps and whistles, tilting his head and asking what's the deal with the big shiny rock.]

[Pretty birdie! Knuckles turns away from the gem to look at Marco, toppling off it once more. Of course, that doesn't seem to bother him, seeing as he goes right over to try and pet him.]

[Well, luckily, this is a slightly tamed Marco thanks to Whitebeard and family, so he cheerfully allows it, shivering slightly under the touch, chirping and stretching out long tail feathers.]

[Marco allows it though he's a little confused about the random red guy being so cuddly and whistles back at him.]

[Knuckles tries to mimic the whistle, though not very well. He simply seems cuddly because Marco's a pretty bird.]

WHOOOOAAA! [mini!Grell looks at the jewel, and not necessarily the echidna attached to it. His chocobo chick mere steps behind him.] What a shiny jewel! [Puts his tiny little face SUPER close to it.] It's like a mirror, but green!

[Annnd the baby on it goes toppling down again. Knuckles tries to pull the gem over to him, protectively holding onto as he gives Grell a curious look. Not going to take away his shiny, are you?]

Why do you have such a huuuuuuuuuge jewel? Is it real? [GASPS]Is it long lost treasure?!

[Doubtful if Grell is going to take it away. He's far too curious to be bothered with thieving.]

[That's okay, then! He makes a happy noise, pressing his face into the Emerald -- really, that's his only way of communicating at the moment, unless you speak baby noises.]

You don't talk much, huh? [Grell makes a face, thinking that this conversation would go rather slowly.] Birdie and I are gonna go explore! You should come with us! But...how... [Hums in thought.] If only there was a wagon around..

[Explore he gets, and manages to get to his feet -- at least he seems able to walk.

He claps his hands, seemingly delighted with this idea.]

[Picks up the green jewel and starts to walk, since obviously the kid can't carry it on his own.] If we stay still, we'll never get to the good part.

[Squall's thankfully not affected by the new Time Compression trick, but he is unfortunately dealing with babysitting duty for some of the cadets. Which leads him to walk around Garden more often than not in the mean time to keep an eye out for any trouble.

And look at what he comes on, several feet in front of him, baby Knuckles and his green little shiny.

Squall hesitates and then begins to make his way towards him.]
