Homecoming Carnival!
[There seems to be a festive atmosphere all throughout Garden. Why? Because it's the Homecoming Carnival! The Garden Festival Committee and their unaffiliated helpers have been hard at work all morning and when 1300 hours strikes, it's finally open for everyone to enjoy.
The directory has been reprogrammed slightly:

It also has a piece of paper stuck underneath:
Kissing booth: Turn around
Food booths: Around 1F main circle
Triple Triad: 2F bridge
Carnival games: Front gate area
Ferris wheel, bumper cars, carousel: Road to Balamb
Each stall/booth has free, more elaborate maps:

Have fun, Garden!]

Each attraction will have its own thread. We've listed the people running shifts in the top comments as a reminder to those who signed up; feel free to make your character a thread for their shift even if you missed OOC signups.
Characters have different shifts which allow for everyone to enjoy other parts of the carnival as well instead of being stuck manning a booth the whole night. For the dunk tank, kissing booth, food booths, and talent quest it's best to leave your character's name in the subject of their comment to start off their thread indicating their shift/time onstage.
Proceeds will be going towards building and furnishing a student lounge for fun stuff, so most attractions cost money:
Kissing booth: 2 gil per kiss
Ferris wheel, bumper cars, carousel: 5 gil per person
Carnival games (throwing/shooting X at Y, water gun race, whack a mole, skee ball, Ring the Bell, etc): 1 gil per game
Face painting: 2 gil per person
Food stalls: Snow cones 3 gil, cotton candy 3 gil, and funnel cake 5 gil; "food from your home world" up to individual characters
Dunk tank: 5 gil for 3 balls, 10 gil for 10 balls
Fortune telling: 3 gil per reading
Marriage booth: 5 gil a couple
Balloon animals: 3 gil an animal
Wandering entertainers: Donations welcome
Judgmental Claire stare: 5 gil
Kissing booth: Bridge heading towards the directory, queuing into lobby

Ahri's shift~
Leaning forward on the booth Ahri looked over the passing crowd and would smile welcomingly at the passersby, beckoning them over without words as her tails swayed playfully behind her.
If things got late and there hadn't been many buyers, she'd make sure to use her... particular gifts to lure more and more to the booth and giving them what they really wanted whether they showed it or now! In the end, they'd leave lighter in their pockets but with a nice and pleasant spring to their step!]
Rose's Shift
if she gets out of this unscathed she'll consider it a small miracle.]

Re: Talent quest: Quad, lunchtime
He begins to play a more intense song, hitting hard, sudden notes as he seems to lean back just in time to avoid strikes from the snakes. After one strike, Snake catches the green mamba, setting down the flute and begins to dance with it, seeming to entrance the animal in his movements and 'charming' it into dancing with him while a recorded song begins to play.
He makes his way back to the basket, still dancing and winds his arm around the coral snake, letting her twist her way up and around his neck as he lifts the mamba and brings it close to his face with no fear, despite this being the same animal that just struck at him. As he dances, he twists the snake around his neck while lifting the bright coral and holding her above him. He opens his mouth and lowers her so that her head was actually in his mouth in a show of just how much control he had over these deadly creatures. He even seems to bite down on the snake, lowering his head and letting her body twist as he hold her tail up. He gently pulls her out and shows them both to be unharmed. He lets her twist around his abdomen as he spins back to his flute, picking it up as the music cuts, and beginning to play again while swaying. He charms both of the snakes back into the basket before closing it with apparent concern.
He places his flute beside the closed basket and bows for the audience with a faint hope that he might win with his act. Either way, he was sure Emily and Oscar had fun with him.
Wandering entertainers: EVERYWHERE
Characters signed up:
She really is everywhere she can find room...
The first part of her show involves a controlled burn of colored powders that she throws around. Half of it goes into the air, to rain a shower of multicolored sparks around the pyromancer. The rest goes into patterns on the ground, so she can light them when she starts dancing with the poi.
The dance itself is fairly simple, a foot-stomping and shuffling number that keeps Ellyn pretty centered in her square. It's the fiery strings that are doing most of the moving, in circles at shoulder height, or waist height, or even twinned over her head, blazing with light. It's a spectacle even during the day, but it's as dusk draws near that her shows really take on a new dimension, glowing to rival the carnival lights, and almost Balamb itself.
When she's done, she takes a bow.]
Hope ya enjoyed the show, folks. Enjoy yer carnival, an' don't f'get th' orphans!
