[Rinoa sits curled around Angelo in a shady, tree filled corner of the Quad, her face buried in the dog's furry ruff as she just sits and well pouts? Mopes? Sulks? Cries? There were any number of words that could be used to describe her current behavior and most of them fit. However, if someone were to look for it they'd see the tell-tale sign of tear tracks on the cadets face as well as the dampened portions of Angelo's fur ~~but thankfully not enough to trigger much of a damp dog scent.~~

Her face still buried against the dog her voice was muffled as she voiced her complaint, thinking that only Angelo could hear her.]

Why's he such a jerk?

[Maybe she had taken some things for granted and just assumed they were true, but he didn't have to be so cold about it. It was becoming painfully clear that what meant the world to her was more or less nothing to him. The more she thought about it the more it hurt and the more upset she became. ]

[Anyone's more than welcome to stop by and bother girl and dog new and old CR alike.]

[Neglected to mention the whole "Son of the President of Esthar" bit, which was also pretty important.

She does stop ranting to nod though before picking launching into a new complaint.]

It's like he wanted me to tell him that I wanted an apology! An apology like that wouldn't have meant anything.

You know? And when I told him that I couldn't just tell him what to say he said that there wasn't anything more to say and asked why it was such a big deal!

I hope he's better at fighting and missions and stuff than he is at relationships.

[Bulla frowns in thought.]

For what it's worth, I don't think he meant to be hurtful so much as I think he's totally clueless about a lot of things.

[There's a little pause] Did he ever call you his girlfriend?

He's the best fighter I know. [Even now, she's all up for defending him.]

You really think so?

[She pauses, looking sheepish.]

Well, no, but it's not like you just go around kissing people just because!

[Or at least she didn't anyway.]

Based on certain clueless guys I know...if you didn't spell things out for him and call it a relationship, he might not have thought you were in one. Which sucks, I know, but maybe he just thought it was one date instead of an ongoing relationship.

[As much as Bulla agreed with Rinoa about Commander Leonhart's jerk behaviour, she was trying to see the other side to the issue. Mostly because it would explain a lot of the casual attitude. It wasn't like Commander Leonhart came off like a player, after all]

Either way, I think you can do better, with a cute boy who has more free time and more of a clue.

A one date thing? [She huffs a little at that, crossing her arms over her torso grumpily. She wasn't some cheap floozy that could be thrown away when convenient. She might be a flirt, but she had her standards thank you very much.] I wouldn't kiss someone for something like that.

[Which wasn't entirely true, she's just being grumpy considering how much the news has upset her.]

I can do better? [She doesn't really believe you can get better than Squall, but doesn't voice this opinion, because her mind is soon occupied by other ideas. A cute buy with more free time? That has possibilities.] A cute guy with more free time and a clue, huh? That... actually doesn't sound half bad.

[Hey, Julia bounced back pretty quickly from Laguna, Rinoa could totally attempt to do the same. Probably fail in the long run, but it was worth a shot.[

That's the spirit! Even if it doesn't work out in the long run, it could be fun and could help get your mind off of Commander Clueless, right?

[That actually causes her to giggle as she repeats the new nickname.]

Commander Clueless? Oh, he'd hate that!

[Which meant she thought it was delicious, but that was already pretty obvious considering her laughter.]

You're right. It's not like we're in a relationship apparently. So why can't I see someone else.

Just don't give me credit for the nickname. Having to clean the school washrooms because the SeeD Commander got offended would be absolutely no fun at all.

[Rinoa laughs at that. It's been a while since she's been on a date, so maybe this wouldn't be so bad after all.]

I guess you're right. I'll just leave the research to you then, okay Bulla? You have to tell me all the results though, okay?

Definitely. There's a project coming up in culture class, so I could probably make it even look like it's research for school if I do it right.

Sounds like you've already got it all planned out. That's pretty great.

[Rinoa wasn't known for being all that wonderful at planning things, despite what she might say on the matter.]

I might not be a genius like my mom, but I can be creative when I need to be.
