Mitsuru 006 // Hot Dog Etiquette Bonding
[It has been a promising start to the new term. Driving, History, and even the basic theory she's learning about GFs has all been manageable, and easy to comprehend. The feeling of three classes worth of new notes in her book bag is also deeply encouraging, and carries her easily down the halls-
...And straight into her next challenge. The strange, daunting location known as the cafeteria. Up until now, she'd been subsiding well enough on getting something like soup or a rice meal, and retiring to a quiet place to eat.
She had promised that today, however, would be a different matter. To honor a new term beginning, she would also step up to try something new. Something famous to the Garden, but strange to her. Something-
Something that, as she looked at the line leading up to the order counter, Mitsuru realized she had no idea of how to approach or create a strategy for. Which left her standing and staring, suddenly feeling rather lost.]
"...Ordering a 'hot dog' should not take this much stress."
[She murmured that, crossing her arms as she kept watching.]
((OOC: Mainly a thread for Minako, but still semi-open for others! Although contacting before hand would be good.))

Yes, of course! You have to eat it with your hands, senpai, and if sauce gets onto your fingers, it's normal to lick it off.
[ The last is added mischievously but without ill intentions. The queue is moving rather quickly too; they'll probably be at the front in a few minutes. ]

[This is paradigm shaking information she's processing, as the way her eyes go wide clearly shows.]
"But...What about using napkins? Wouldn't that be more hygenic-?"
[Mitsuru shuts her mouth around that question, trying to at least consider the connotations of this new custom.]
"...I see. Doubtless, this must enhance the flavor and add a new sensation to the experience, as well as conserve resources."
[And...The line just keeps moving forward, now at an unnerving rate. Suddenly, Mitsuru thinks that it wouldn't be such a bad thing if the vendors ran out of hot dogs again. She hurriedly whispers to Minako before they reach the counter.]
"Is there anything else imperative?"
1/3
[ As far as she can remember for now, anyway. Eating a hotdog is easy but having to break it down like that was difficult.
Oh, wait-- ]

Wait! There is one more and it's very important...

EMPRESS S. LINK RANK UP.
...And isn't quite sure what to make of that statement; it certainly wasn't what she was expecting. And although it makes her feel a little bit like a fool, it's also hard to keep from smiling a little at that advice.]
"You're an interesting one, Arisato. But...The advice is appreciated."
[And, to top it off, it looks like they're up next to order. Mitsuru nods to Arisato, before backing up by one step to let her order first, and set the precedent.]

One thing that can be said for Garden, is even if the supply of hot dogs is limited, the service is quite prompt. It's only a moment before the tray arrives, loaded with food and drink. Mitsuru tries not to stare to hard at the sausage-type food, or look very proud of herself when she takes the tray; both actions feel ridiculous over such a small thing.]
"Did you have a preference on where to sit?"

> Mitsuru seems pleased of herself. While they wait, she takes the time to study the cafeteria, the counter, Mitsuru.
Minako shakes her head at the question, holding her own tray upright, the smell of the food so close to her nose making her hungry. She glances around to the seating area and is relieved to spot one so close to them. ]
That one's empty!
[ It's hard to point with both hands carefully supporting her tray so instead Minako starts walking, with her destination in mind. ]

She does move a little bit stiffly, though, and when she sets her tray down, it's with a sense of finality. Purpose, in fact.]
"A nicely chosen spot."
[She says as she takes her seat, glancing around. Not too many people close by, thankfully, and the white tile and table is immaculate, as usual.]
"So...Shall we eat?"
[Eating with one's hands cannot possibly be as difficult as thinks it is? Right?]

[ Knowing that she could be watched by her senpai, Minako carefully lifts the hotdog up and takes a bite -- a small one, for now. The taste is delicious, flooding her senses and it makes her smile in bliss. ]

Mitsuru, you are a Kirijo. You're adaptable and observant, and this seems as good a time as any to put those skills to good use. And perhaps exercise the proper level of care and attention to details as well.
So. She cautiously mimics those same motions...And then gets the shock of her life when she actually tastes it.]
"This is..."
[Somehow, she has the presence of mind to chew and swallow before she speaks.]
"...Good! C'est bien bon, Arisato."
[It's a bit surprising how quickly the food vanishes, after that. And, true to the etiquette Arisato explained, Mitsuru tries licking her fingers as well, although she feels a touch awkward doing so.]
