♥ In the heat of summer sunshine [In Dollet; Open]

[Things are going so much better now. Between catching up on her sleep and enjoying the marked lack of classes, Rinoa's in a much better mood than she's been in the for the last several weeks. Sadly she's not the sort of person who survives very well on a limited amount of sleep so all those nightmares had been well, a nightmare.

Everything was better now and she was getting te sleep she needed night after night. This is why with a much improved outlook on life and way less caffeine in her veins, she's hanging out in the city square of Dollet.]

Feels nice to be out in the fresh air and off Garden for once, doesn't it girl?

[Sitting on the edge of the fountain, she smiles as she ruffles Angelo's fur fondly. After a moment the dog gives her an enthusiastic lick and then bounds off in search of a something (a stick, a ball, a person?) they can use for play. Rinoa stays behind, legs stretching out in front of her as she leans back a little to enjoy the sunlight.]

[This city was quite interesting, and as Grell, donning a simple dress continued to look around the area, scouting it out, there was suddenly a four legged creature at his legs. He was surprised to see a dog here, as he hadn't encountered any animals yet since being here.

He bends down and grins at the dog, petting it gently.] What a pretty dog you are! And a lovely coat of fur as well.

[Angelo gives a rather proud sounding woof in answer to that, relishing any and all attention she could find.]

[This naturally draws Rinoa's attention and she heads over to see exactly what her dog had gotten into.]

Did you make a new friend, girl?

So cute~! [Continues to lavish attention on the dog before hearing a new voice. He looked over from his crouch.]

You're the owner of this beauty? [Grins.] My, how pretty you are!

[Welcome to Angelo's favorite humans list, at least for now, because attention and praise was super nice.]

I think we kind of own each other sometimes actually. [She smiles] Thanks. [Looking over the stranger she came to one conclusion.] You're from Garden, right?

[If Grell was human, he'd probably get on the list...

Grell stood up from his crouch and nodded softly.] How could you tell~? [Grins.] It's the dress, isn't it? [Examines his dress casually with a thoughtful look.] I had hoped it wouldn't give me away. [DRAMATIC SIGH]

Just thought I'd take a stroll around town. Very glad I did~. [Pats the dog's head softly before extending a hand with a smile.] I'm Grell.

She never gave her name, but that doesn't matter now.

[Angelo considers Grell human, because he at least looks human and that's good enough for her.]

It's not the dress. People not from this world sometimes seem to have something about them that just seems to make them stand out somehow.

After being on Garden so long it's nice to get out, stretch your legs, and enjoy the sunshine that's for sure. [Angelo enjoys that pat very, very much.] Grell? The Grell of the list? [Her tone might be cooling just a little bit, because she's still rather miffed at that man's post.]

...yes, that's me. [Curious eyebrow, taking back his extended hand. It felt a bit silly leaving it hanging there. He instead folded his arms behind him with a casual smile.] Why~?

[She'd been too busy internally frowning to remember the whole handshaking thing, her bad really.] Maybe we can just agree to disagree then. The values and opinions of your world are clearly different from the ones here. Or is that too naive of me too?

[Tilts his head to the side at the last of her words, clicking in his head after a moment.] Oh~. It's you. [Shrugs.] It was a very good argument we had. I enjoyed it. I don't mind agreeing to disagree.

[Smirks to her.] You sounded quite wise just now.

I was agreeing with you.

[Oh well, that wasn't what she expected. Maybe this wouldn't be so absolutely horrible after all.] Then it's settled then.

[Even after saying that her eyes narrow just a little bit.] Can't we at least try to get along?

Didn't seem like it, and I thought I was trying, at least. Should we stick to safe subjects, like your adorable doggie~? [More petting for you, Angelo.] Besides, I already gave my name, so shouldn't that mean I'm trying to be friendly~?

I just meant that, never-mind you're right. I'm sorry. I guess I'm still a little jumpy from all the nightmares and coffee. [She offers him a crooked smile at that, before leaning down to ruffle Angelo's fur affectionately.] Rinoa, my name is Rinoa.

I've been trying to tell people that coffee is just no good for them! [Shakes his head in pity.] I should definitely take you out for some lovely tea.

[Grins at finally learning her name.] Very nice to meet you, Rinoa.

I think I learned that one the hard way. I don't think I want to touch another cup of coffee again in my life! [Man, Grell was weird.] You don't have to go that far...

[Also? That grin is kind of creepy.] Thanks.

[Blurts it out without thinking] Why are your teeth so pointy? Is that normal on your world?

[This isn't weird. This is normal!]

It's not going too far! And it'd be nice to have some tea with interesting company~.

[Pauses for a moment, not knowing how to answer the question.] It...isn't normal, but they do help instill fear into people. [Laughs lightly.] I'm not sure why they are this way. [Shrugs.] I don't mind them.

[Grell's normal is still pretty weird.]

Well when you put it like that, I'd love to have tea sometime.

[She's fabulously blunt when she wants to be.] Instill fear? That doesn't seem like something people usually want to instill in others.

We really should. I'll hold you to that~.

[Smirks softly.] I'm not like other people.

How about the next time Garden stops in a town?

[Amused look] I'd never doubted that one.

It's a plan! I wonder if they allow pets...

[Grins.] There's never a dull moment while I'm around~.

[Smiles.] I'll try and remember that in case I ever get too bored on Garden then.
