[It's pretty late, and Roxas realizes there's a curfew, but...

Well, he happened by the ballroom and the door was open just a crack. Being who he is, he couldn't help peering inside the room, and naturally the moment he saw the ceiling he had to wander on in.

Or rather, it's what he can see beyond the ceiling that's got him downright mystified. Through that clear glass he can see the night sky, dark heavens dotted with stars like diamonds. It's enough to make him stand there in the middle of that dark, cavernous room; everything up there's so different and new and he can't help but wonder what other worlds those stars might represent]

[And so it is that Marco is making rounds. Because he's got a nightmare and maybe three weeks of space will have given Ace time to cool off.]

You're not really supposed to be in here you know. [Says this with more of a worry that Roxas will get in trouble than actually to get him in trouble.]

[The voice out of the stillness makes him start and Roxas turns, startled response turningto a bashful one as he subs at the back of his head. At least he hasn't seen that Seifer guy around, that was just too strange]

Yeah, I know... It's just that you can see the stars really well from here.

The constellations here get to me. I can't place them at all. Which makes sense... different sky and all. They're better from the rooftops though.

[There's a small, nostalgic smile as he thinks about that. Then of course he's curious]

You've gone up on the roof?

Not at all? I can't even imagine that. To me, it was one of the best parts about sailing on the Grand Line.

I dunno, I think Sora secretly wants to be one, someday.

It's a long story. There's something of a big war in my world right now... to put it mildly.

Where I'm from there're Heartless, but a lot of people haven't heard of them. So I figure there must be a lot of other kinds.

Heartless? I've heard people or monsters called heartless, but it's not a name so much as an adjective for them.

Heartless are these creatures made of darkness in the worlds I've been to. It's what happens when people lose their hearts, and they forget who they used to be.

Then they try and snatch hearts from whole people.

Well...not that I know of. But sometimes more powerful Heartless can make weaker ones do what they want.

Most of them aren't strong enough to really think much.

Yeah, all right... it'd be weird if he could affect other worlds besides. [Runs a hand through his hair.] Besides gravity and black hole... yours sounds more like shadows, right?

Yeah, they're like that. Some of them can use gravity spells but...I've never seen a black hole.

Uh-huh, they're elemental spells. I never learned how to cast it myself though.
