✝ one
[ Allen can handle a nightmare or two, or three. In fact it's not all that uncommon for him, nightmares that aren't quite nightmares. But well it's been a week and he's almost at the point where he's barely sleeping. ]
[ That forcefully bright smile of his, it's wavering, giving way to a tired grin when people look at him too long. He's actually probably being a bit creepy but he can't tell. TOO TIRED. ]
[ So as he's trying to make his way to class he somehow ends up in the cafeteria instead. Probably because it's the one place that he remembers the location of without effort. He contemplates trying to find his way to where he's actually supposed to be but...it's not really worth the effort. So he's going to wait outside until they start serving food. He will be found plopped outside, staring at nothing. If you catch him wandering around he'll just be avoiding reflective surfaces, thanks. ]

Sorry...
[ Yeah, he assumes it's his fault anyways. He was in the way of food, he understands that. ]

Butt up, cheek on ground, Sokka blinks at--look it's a person!]
Did I walk on you? [Oh yes, very coherent this morning. Afternoon. What time is it?] I must have walked on you. I was looking for a hot dog.

Uh...right, is it time for lunch already? Are they serving food?
[ Because he's hungry but even if he can't taste the food much lately. ]

With a groan, Sokka sits up and then looks over at his floor-companion. Sticks out a hand to shake.] Sokka. Honestly I got no clue what time it is. I'm lucky I know it's a Thursday.
... Is it a Thursday?

[ He accepts that hand though and kind of sluggishly gets up. And he gives that slightly creepy, slightly depressing, extremely tired smile. ]
'm Allen. [ Now give him a minute to count his fingers. ]
Yes, it's Thursday. Definitely. [ A recount. ]

Huh. Kinda looks like the smile that he got back from the mirror this morning. Stupid mirror.]
Oh. Do you know about the hot dogs? Are you from... here? And--you got something on your face. [Sokka squints and then taps his own forehead where Allen's star is.]

My face? [ He brushes at that spot before realising what Sokka is referring to. ] Oh, uh that's supposed to be there. [ Rubs at the back of his head. ]

So I guess everyone really is having nightmares.
... Unless you sit in the middle of the floor all the time. It was kinda comfortable.

That seems to be the case... I wonder when they'll stop. I'm not sure how long everyone can go on like this.

I'm running on pure meat power. [HEH.] I think that'll only last me for so long, though. [He rubs his chin. What WILL he do when meat fails him? Woe the thought.]
no subject
[ Sorry Sokka, he can't fake as well when he has no sleep. ]

It's good we're here early, then! Those hot dogs go FAST.
