[There are worse places to sit and nibble at a sandwich than the centre of a peaceful grassy clearing, right next to a makeshift campfire.

Of course, said clearing is right in the middle of the training centre, but you can't have everything.]

Aah, it's so warm!

[A blissful smile on her face, Osaka shuffles closer to the pile of leaves and twigs, which is crackling merrily. Maybe too merrily - if you're paying attention, which this girl decidedly is not, you might be a little worried by just how much of the grass is already alight...]

[Fionna makes a habit out of coming to train, so of course she is here, with a makeshift sword in hand, and sees someone just eating a sandwich, it throws her off a little].

Uh, what are you doing? Isn't that grass gettin' kinda...worse, with the fire?

Oh, I'm just having lunch! It was kinda busy in the cafeteria and kinda wet outside, so I thought I'd look for someplace else. [She beams sleepily.] It sure is a nice fire, isn't it?

Why would you have lunch here though? People train here and stuff. You're not afraid of 'em bumping into you?

[grainsoftruth]

Well, I guess I didn't think of that... [Now that she is, she tilts her head to one side.] But I bump into stuff all the time even when it isn't time for lunch, so I figure it'll be okay.

[She blinks as another thought occurs to her.] Uh, but if you wanted to sit in this spot, I could go find somewhere else. It's no problem, really.

[fionna_time]

Yeah, but you don't wanna get hit by something, right? That would suck.

[She shook her head] Nah! I'm usually using the room for train-uh, that fire is getting kinda big, isn't it?

[grainsoftruth]

Uh huh! [She interprets that answer as permission to start dozing off again; she slowly closes her eyes, her amiable smile turning into a wide yawn.] It's really warm... Maybe I oughta lie down for a little while.

[fionna_time]

It shouldn't be that warm!

[She already has her shirt off, trying to smother some of the flame]. Don't sleep dude, give me a hand!

[grainsoftruth]

[The smouldering grass isn't difficult to put out, but Osaka's campfire is another story. So is Osaka herself. She turns her head to give Fionna a politely bemused look, but otherwise doesn't move from her spot.] Huh? What's wrong?

OOC: Is Osaka on fire?

WHAT's W-ITS A FIRE DUDE! Move out the way!

[Obligingly, though still more than a little confused, Osaka stands up and shuffles out of Fionna's way.

It isn't until she's about to take another bite out of her sandwich that she happens to glance in the right direction to notice the blaze.]

Oh! Wow, that's bigger than I remember making it...

[Champloo appears practically out of nowhere, jabbing an alarmed finger at the fire.]

This toasted sandwich shall soon overcook Garden itself!

Huh? [Osaka looks round curiously.] Oh, no, no. It's just a regular sandwich. [She holds it up as evidence.] Although some toast would be nice too...

Toasted or not, you are spreading more than jam! Not all ingredients should be cooked flambe-style!

[She lowers her sandwich and looks at it - it's food and this stranger is talking about food, maybe it'll understand better than she does.]

Um... did you want to cook here or something? 'Cause I could go sit somewhere else.

[Champloo again points urgently at the fire.]

If we do not put a lid on that fire, soon we will all be cooking -- in the ingredient sense!

[She rubs at her eyes sleepily with the back of her hand before following his pointing finger.]

Oh, that's what you were talking about! Yeah, I thought this would be a good place to sit, but it turned out to be kinda cold, so...

Soon your low-temperature fire for reducing will become a high-heat fire for searing!

My...? [Blink, blink.] Uh, I'm awful sorry, but all I've got is this sandwich. [She holds it up again, just for good measure.]

[It did not sit well for Fionna to be in an undershirt and bra right now, but she thought that allowing someone to burn would totally be against her hero's creed. Even if Osaka didn't seem to notice that she was in danger in the first place].

[After several long seconds of silence, she finally takes that bite out of her sandwich and chews it thoughtfully.]

You think we should go find someone who can properly put it out?

...Hey, d'you think it's gotten a little bigger?

[She waits expectantly in case he's about to say anything else.]
