[The Date Auction held little interest for Sigyn. Especially since she had started her steady relationship with Gakupo. Not even to needle Edward (she is certain that Pinkie Pie is already doing so, so what need did Sigyn have to replicate the effect). Instead, she bypasses all the cadets and staff heading to the cafeteria, tugging her furred cloak's hood up, venturing outside of Garden. She has a book tucked under one arm, worn and old, that Sigyn had borrowed from the library after a little peek one day after studying in the library's study area.

Once outside, Sigyn heads to her garden, where she finds a seat by her winter-kissed roses (a few of the cadets had been wondering how the flowers could grow and stay strong in the winter's cold, often sleet bringing weather) and opens her book.

[The auction hasn't been a huge highlight for Gakupo either for the same reasons, so he wasn't going to watch the activity either. He's sure the GFC are doing well enough. What relly catches his attention is the fact that he spots Sigyn cloaking herself as she walks about, seemingly on a predetermined path. He decides to follow her, keeping a bit of a distance. He does try his best to not be spotted or heard, but who knows just how aware she can be.

Where he ends up shouldn't be all that surprising. Seeing Sigyn curled up with a book is a rather cute image to behold. Gakupo continues to watch her, mostly because she really looks quite peaceful like this.]

[ Sigyn can hear Gakupo is, yes, quite aware, but she lets him have his pride and think himself surreptitious. She gets into page four when she decides to sigh, and break the game. ]

My Samurai, you do not need to spy upon your Lady.

[He knew it would only be a matter of time before he was discovered. Gakupo is a good sport about it, and steps towards her with a smile.]

I didn't want to disturb you. You looked quite peaceful. [He takes a seat next to her.] You've done wonders with this garden, by the way.

Peaceful perhaps, but I do not mind company. [ She leans into him as soon as he sits down. ] My thanks. Snotra taught me a thriving incantation once when I was very young. It is meant for staying warm throughout the cold, but it does wonders for flowers all the same.

[eggplantallergy]

That's good to know. [Gakupo places an arm around her.] Who is Snotra?

[fotlenke]

One of my elder sisters. [ She dog-ears the page she's on in her book and then shuts it. It would be rude for Sigyn to continue reading while someone is talking to Sigyn. ] She is the prickliest of us seven daughters.

Seven daughters... [Wow, that's a lot of family.] Well, why did she teach that to you?

I was but a tot then, when Snotra took me out in the snow for a bit of play between our studies. Snotra had been tasked with dressing me properly -- a mistake on Mother's part -- and when she did not, I was quite cold in little layers. She grew tired of my tears not long after, and taught me the incantation so that I would remain quiet.

[eggplantallergy]

Ah, I see. I'm sure the flowers would thank you for sharing your education if they could.

[He pauses briefly.] What is it like to have siblings? [His question makes it obvious that he's an only child.]

[fotlenke]

They thank me well enough daily.

[ She smiles. ] Frustrated. Very frustrating. Your time does not belong to you in total. You must share with the sisters and be of use. Most often, the task is thankless However, there comes joy in relying upon your sisters and having your sisters rely upon you.

[eggplantallergy]

[He takes this in, and looks deep in thought over it. Having siblings may be something he could never really imagine having. It sounds like too much work.]

Could you imagine not having them?

[fotlenke]

No. [ She shakes her head 'no'. ] Never. [ She brings legs up to her chest and holds them. ] They may be pains but they are my pains.

[He smiles and kisses her temple.]

I understand. Thank you for explaining.

[Nena walks along, wanting some air after having gone through the ordeal of that auction, when she sees Sigyn reading and decides to see what's up.]

Hey, Sigyn! What'cha reading?

[ Sigyn looks up from her reading and smiles when she sees Nena. She rather likes the spunky Nena and her devil-may-care attitude and blunt mouth. It is refreshing. ]

I believe it is called The Modern Prometheus.

[weddingcrasher]

The modern what? What kinda language is that word?

[fotlenke]

Do you mean Prometheus?

[weddingcrasher]

Yeah, that! What language is it and what's it mean?

[fotlenke]

Prometheus is Grecian -- he disobeyed his gods by giving the gods' fire to the helpless Midgardians so that they could thrive. The gods had him tied to a rock where each day, night, no matter or no whether, his organs would be eaten by a scornful eagle, only for the organ to slowly return by nightfall, and be consumed once more in morning.

Wow. Gods sure have a sick sense of punishment....I like it!

[ Sigyn giggles. ]

The Greeks are horrible, Warrior Nena.

Zeus is certainly horrible.
