Hello, everyone! I am starting to practice baking in the Home Ec room, and would appreciate any volunteers for taste testing. Please feel free to walk right in and help yourselves!

[Thumbelina is busy at the counters with an array of basic ingredients, bowls and pots and pans, with dozens of whirring machines turned on and many cookbooks laid out on the table at the center of the room. The main subject of the pages contain sweet treats, such as various kinds of cakes.]

Well I'm not going to have anyone pay to test the food. That'd be silly! Of course you can eat as much as you'd like. Just don't eat too much that you get a tummy ache. Oh, lots of things! Mostly sweets.

Sweets huh~? Count me in then!

Come by anytime you'd like! I'll be putting extras leftover in the fridge.

[She didn't have to tell Ahri twice, the nine-tailed fox girl was at the location sooner than later, poking her head into the room and looking around.]

Hi hiiiii~?!

[Thumbelina turns her upper torso when Ahri enters. She just smiles at the girl, ignoring the many tails. She's used to oddities, being one herself.]

Hello, Ahri! Is that right?

Oh, yup! That's me~ [She almost sings as she replies, walking in fully and smiling curiously.]

I just couldn't turn down an opportunity like this you know?

[Oh neat, a fey creature? Hm, interesting!]

I know how you feel. I used to always clamber out of bed whenever my mother would start baking. I could smell it from the windows up above the kitchen.

[Someone baking... that wasn't her? Cissie can't help taking a peek to see what's going on.]

Hey there! You need any help?

[Thumbelina turns her upper body around and blinks, then smiles at the newcomer.]

Oh hello! Yes, if you'd please give assistance.

Sure thing! [She returns the smile before heading over.] So what're we baking today?

[Thumbelina goes over to the cookbooks and picks up a particular recipe. She hands it to Cissie.]

Lemon cupcakes.

Sounds yummy.

[She skims the recipe, looking up to make sure they've got all the ingredients...] Um... what do you want me to do? Normally, I'd take charge, but this is technically your show now.

I hope so!

[Thumbelina smiles.]

Maybe you can make sure I'm on the right track? I don't want anyone to get food poisoning.

Uh, sure. I don't really think you can give people food poisoning from lemon cupcakes, though...

[Not unless this kid's just really bad at baking.]

I've never made these before, and I want to just be extra sure.

[Only one way to tell...]

[She nods, going ahead and getting everything ready.]

So let's begin!

[She smiles.]

I suppose we should start with the cooking preparations first.

[Right on it! Cissie's pretty experienced by now, so the preparations're done pretty quickly.]

Wonderful! I was going to bring you treats anyways.

Treats? Really?

Well I plan to deliver treats to the Deans and Teachers as well, Mr. Light.

Lt. Furor please. [Who's Mr. Light again?]

I'm sure everyone will appreciate that.

[She can't say Lt. yet.]

[Oh ffff right. Adorable.]

[And Pinkie literally comes rushing in, breathless.]

Okay...I'm...ready...to taste...test... [She says in between catching her breath.]

[Thumbelina turns around with a hot batch of lemon cupcakes, blinking.]

Did you run here?

Of course! Food waits for no one--OH WHAT ARE THOSE?! [Sees food and forgets everything else.

[Thumbelina moves out of the way in time to avoid getting run over by the excited Pinkie. She holds out the tray of cupcakes, looking like a tamer trying to appease a hungry animal.]

They're cupcakes.

WWWWOOOOOOOWWWWWW!! You did a great job on them! [Pinkie picks up one and examines it from all possible angles.] Now for the moment of truth!!

[She takes a bite...oh, what will her reaction be?!]

[Hopefully satisfaction since Cissie helped make these cupcakes.]

What does the moment say?

[She looks at Pinkie nervously, wringing her hands together, hoping that she did not mess any recipe.]

D'TH I' GU'!!

[Translation: THIS IS GOOD!

Pinkie swallows and lets out a satisfied sound.] Wow, you did a YUMMY job!

Really?

[Pinkie, you just made Thumbelina so happy. Her cheeks redden.]

That's fantastic! I'll be sure to tell Cissie!

Who's that? Your sister?

No, no. She's a friend who attends this academy as well.

Is she taking Home Ec?

I think so?

I know EVERYONE in Home Ec! But her name doesn't sound familiar at all! I think she isn't...
