[Just like she said, Cissie's in the kitchen whenever Rapunzel comes down. With a cookbook propped open on the counter, she's already started the first step.
Cissie's not really impatient, though; she's got some fruits from the cafeteria in her hand as she waits. Idly plopping some berries in her mouth, she double-checks the recipe and her ingredient list, just to make sure she's got everything.
It looks right, though she'd hope so: she's triple-checked it by now, and last she checked, her vision was actually pretty decent.]
[Rapunzel does not take too long to arrive. She approaches Cissie quietly, managing a small smile but it's probably quite clear she is pretty upset at Merlin's departure.]
Hey. Um, thanks. For this. Is that all the ingredients then? [It looks like it, but it's always best to be sure they don't leave anything out. Rapunzel looks over the ingredients on the bench thus far, one hand crossing her stomach and holding to her other elbow, hair falling a little as it trails behind her.]
[Cissie takes one second to look at Rapunzel before immediately turning to hug her friend.]
It's the least I could do... and yeah, it is. [She smiles, letting go--but Cissie's probably going to ask for another hug later.] Unless you want to make them like, chocolate chocolate brownies, but there's plenty of chocolate chips around.
[She'll return that hug, welcoming the comfort and appreciative of her friend's support. Cissie has probably had to deal with this many more times than Rapunzel. She knows Merlin is needed back home, but his absence at the Garden does upset her and she knows she will miss him.]
Chocolate chips are fine. Shall we get started? [Looking over the ingredients and cooking instructions as she tucks some hair back, giving Cissie a small smile.]
Yeah, sounds like a plan. I've already done the first step, but everything else's right here.
[Cissie's pretty methodical about cooking; she's got all the measurements (in metric, unfortunately for her - she never did get used to the system) ready whenever.] You've made brownies before, right?
Great! Oh, yes. I've done all sorts of baking back home. I know how to make brownies, it's the measurements, how much of each ingredient I need to check.
[And only because she has not made them as often as some other cooking or baking over the years. But she quite happily gets to work in following the instructions and helping Cissie, momentarily forgetting about Merlin's absence.]
Yeah? Then maybe we should've aimed for something more complicated.
[She giggles, going ahead and starting the first step.] I know I've been eying this cake decorating book, but I've been kinda lazy about actually attempting the ideas in it.

[Looking to her with a small smile.] Cakes? That could be fun!
