Let's go to Timber! On the train! Been a long time since I've been on a train. Well... [shrug] I was on a shuttle bus not long ago, but... no let's not talk about that. [No, really. Let's not. That was one of the most terrifying experiences of this particular regeneration.]

Now, obviously we can't disturb your classes, education's important, but a little extracurricular Geography-History-And-Stuff won't hurt. So, weekend it is.

May I ask what the purpose of this trip would be?

While I can appreciate the effectiveness of hands on training, I do not see the purpose of going to Timber to do it. What is it you propose to do there?

I mean, I could have always chosen Jenny, but Jenny is a very specific cloned originally-nameless soldier who isn't you, so Jenny won't work. Well, there's that, and it's a girl's name. So we'll just settle with Hugo until you pick something that's better - better and not a number!

Timber. Why Timber? Because I haven't been to Timber, that's why.

Aaaand it's got quite interesting modern history, too. Military occupation, rebel factions... I found an old copy of one of the "Timber Maniacs" magazines. Falling to bits, of course, it is about forty years old - they stopped publishing them, they were inciting the rebels, or um... something like that - but it's very interesting.

Nothing like a bit of education than visiting places and learning about it first hand. Much better than a book. Not sure I'm too keen on the soldiers everywhere, but we'll just be observing. Not interfering. Or ending up in prison with nothing but a Sonic Screwdriver. Not that that wouldn't be an educational, interesting experience in itself, but you'd end up pretty late for class.

No, no no, I'm the one with plenty of life experience - more than most people, in fact. More than everyone here, at the very least! You are the twelve year old military clone with no real life experience. I am showing you the place, so you can get some and learn something!

Of course, whenever I take someone somewhere, they always always always wander off. It's ridiculous, really! So we'll put that down as a rule. No wandering off. None whatsoever. Not that telling people not to wander off ever works... on the rare occasion they don't wander off, they get kidnapped and I have to go find them anyway... anyway, it's not me who wanders off! No, never!

That sounds like fun! I've been to the nearby town but Timber seems further out than that.

Well, yes, kind of fun. Just as long as, you know, you don't upset the Galbadian soldiers. Unless you really, really like running and, well, possibly kind of maybe getting sort of shot at.
