[Some of you may have already seen this tall, skinny blonde man wandering the halls curiously. He's explored pretty much every place he's been told he's allowed to go so far. Now he's wandered into the Quad, and is generally poking things and looking around for something to do, and/or people to question.]

[Yep, another newcomer. Lea smiles back at him - at least the guy's friendly! - but his smile falters a little at the mention of friends.]

Sorry, but there's no guarantee they'll be here... I've only been here a couple days myself, but I might have spotted one of them. What're their names?

[As an afterthought:] I'm Lea, by the way.

[How interesting. Fai's pretends he didn't notice that.]

I'm Fai. I'm happy to meet you, Lea. [He pauses to give him a friendlier, more sincere smile, before continuing.] I'm looking for three people and our mascot. One is a teenage girl named Sakura. The other teenager is a boy named Syaoran, and the third person is a tall man named Kurogane. [Resisting the impulse to give a nickname for Kurogane is easy - he doubts Kurogane would be walking around calling himself by a silly name.]

And there's Mokona. She's small, white, and round with long ears and a gem on her forehead. [He points to his own.]

[Lea thinks seriously about it for a few minutes, but finally shakes his head.] Sorry... I haven't met anybody like that. That doesn't mean they're not here, but I can't really help.

Nice to meet you too, Fai. Are you gonna be a student here?

Yes. There's a lot here I can learn about while I wait.

Yeah. [Cheering up again at the change of subject.] That's what I figure -- even if I can't make it home right away, at least I can learn magic and fighting here, so when I do get back I can get right to doing what I want!

I bet so! Like I said, I haven't been here that long either.

[He smiles, a little embarrassed.] Of course I wanna find a way home most of all, but who knows how long that'll take?

If you don't mind my asking, how long have you been here, Lea? [Fai looks perfectly intrigued. It'll be interesting to see how the different information he can get from everybody matches up.]

Four days. I've been wandering around asking about things, but I know I've got a lot left to figure out! It's a big place.

Yeah it is! You'll probably wanna stay away from the training grounds unless you're a pretty good fighter. They have real monsters in there.

[Fai makes a face at that, as though it's something he'd never consider doing.]

[Grins] So what kind of stuff do you do, Fai? Magic? Fighting?

Oh, some of this and some of that. [Fai laughs a little.] I'm really good at cooking!

Cooking? Seriously? [He laughs, too, sounding enthusiastic.] What kind of cooking?

[He grins and shrugs] I dunno if they sell it somewhere, but they just don't have any good ice cream at the cafeteria.

Desserts are fun to make, but meals aren't so bad. [A nice, sweet cake sounds so good.]

I could probably make it, if I could get a hold of a recipe and a kitchen.

Desserts are the best kind anyway. [Ice creeeeam.] Maybe they let students use the cafeteria? I dunno, I can't cook anything.

[Score-- okay maybe he's getting too into this. Right, dignity beats free ice cream. He grins, waving a hand around the quad.] So, have you seen the whole place yet? It's pretty neat. Not that I wouldn't rather be home, but --

[Shrug.] I can show you around if you want!

Ah, really? [Fai seems delighted by that idea. He'd like to hear another person's take on it, after all.]

Hey, I didn't have any plans! Okay, so, this place. Garden, there's a stage over there, the drama class probably puts on plays and stuff, so you might see me up there by the end of the quarter -- [He sketches a shrug with one hand, spinning on his heel to face Fai again.] -- Not like I've ever actually been in a play before, but that elective looked fun and like everything else had some kind of requirement.

[He grins and points back in the other direction.] And everything else you get to through the lobby, which you've probably already figured out!

Yes. Thank goodness they have signs. It's so easy to get lost in a place this big.

Yeah, I spent the whole first day doing that! -- It's the best way to learn your way around.

[He leads the way out of the Quad, dismissing the right-hand side with a wave.] The Infirmary's over there, and the other side is the cafeteria -- it's got the kitchens in back I think -- and the dorms, do you know where you're staying yet?
