[ Here's a Lightning, walking - more like marching - her way down the circular path of the first floor, her destination in mind being the 2nd Floor. Her stride is brisk and long, the red cape of her attire flowing in her wake, and if one notices, there's a small frown on her face. The reason for this face? Why, it's mission time! ]

Bullying... Hn.

[ In a way, taking on this Mission (2) was more Snow's thing... But Lightning also isn't very lenient about bullying, so if anyone wants to join her for whatever reason, feel free! ]

Hell yes. If they were worried about small fry monsters they wouldn't let us use the Training Center. Normally, I wouldn't care... let them keep their damn secrets. But with everyone showing up here all of a sudden it's fishy, ain't it?

[ and hear he does not, as he's just now reaching the top circular platform and making his way to the control room. there's a large glass window that overlooks the lower platform lightning is standing on next to a control panel with a lot of options to press and.....

well, we all know how well yuri and technology mesh. ]

Hey! There's a bunch of buttons up here, what should I do?

[ he's yelling of course so that she can hear, but he probably wouldn't be able to catch her reply all the way up here regardless. which is good (?), because he proceeds to start pressing every button in sight. ]

[ Without warning, the ground around her starts to shake, and she backs up to the pillar to avoid whatever could be happening. It seems the whole place is opening huge latches, and indeed, once she goes near the railing, she sees the ground has open up... with more ladders to greet her with. ]

Whatever he was doing... [ Frowns and shakes her head, looking up to see if Yuri'll come down anytime soon. ]

looks like it just made way for more ladder climbing, though. on the one hand, he wants to climb another ladder about as much as he wants to punch himself in the face. on the other, the easiest way to get down would be...flying and well he doesn't want to try explaining that to someone else just yet-

he pops his head out of the control room to call down to her. ]

he's gonna aim for landing behind the pillar so he doesn't fly over the top of her anyway aaaaand when he comes out from behind the pillar he's already back to normal-

he's starting back down to where she is nnnow but speaks up to let her know he's already caught up ]

he's retrieving his metal knuckles from the pouch around his waist and pulling them on as the monsters shuffle towards them ]

[ Always ready! Lightning's already on the offensive and rushing her way towards them, transforming her weapon into sword-mode and hacking and slashing at them first before firing off a Ruin spell as she jumps away. Her moves are quick, precise, and as her name implies, lightning fast, and she switches to a Ravager style. Considering the heavy stench of oil coming from them... She fires off round after round of Fire spells at them. ]

Looks like that worked.

[ indeed the fire seems to be most effective, as the beasties recoil and screech under the onslaught of fire spells. it looks like they won't go down that easy, though, and they're already preparing their next attack-

but yuri's not gonna let lightning have all the fun, dropping his weapons and enduring the pain of the mistletoe curse as he fuses into the fire spirit fides next to her. ]

[ moving towards the baddy right after fusing, he starts into a hard-hitting series of sword strikes with a blade coated in fire

-and between that and lightning beating the shit out of it, one of the little bastards flops to the floor and gives a death rattle. ]

[ Lightning takes several steps back to watch in slight amazement at the something that appeared beside her and is attacking the beasts with her. Shaking off her shock (bad move on her part), she attacks the other living oil monster with strike after strike of a fire-laden sword. ]

[ after the last one falls, yuri falls out of the fusion gracelessly, grasping at his chest and regaining his footing.

with a SIGH and "they really love their damn ladders" grumbles, he starts the tedious descent once more ]
