[ -BBS- ] Does anyone have any suggestions for a cold? It seems the sea air and I don't exactly see eye to eye. There is far too much water around for my liking.

[ Meanwhile, she's in the cafeteria with a shawl around her shoulder and a box of tissues. Her majesty is definitely not as glamorous as she usually carries herself as. One textbook is in hand and she's gone and flipped through it almost carelessly as she settles herself in one table.

But the sniffling. And the puffy eyes.

And the occasional uncontrollable gout of flame after a single sneeze.

Yeah. Not safe. ]

Yes, I suppose that would work. However, I must admit I am a touch concerned that this is more of an environmental cause rather than a bug. Thank you for your suggestions.

The normal remedies would work. What sort of tea would you recommend?

[Uh-oh.

Cissie sees that gout of flame, all right. But instead of running like a normal person might, she immediately heads over and unceremoniously dumps her books on the table.]

Have you been to the infirmary yet? I'm a little worried, you know.

[ Thankfully, she knows to turn away from anything flammable. Books and people included.

A slight frown as she sips from a mug. ]

I believe this has more to do with the environment rather than an infection.

But I suppose maintenance will have some way of fireproofing our room until this passes, no worries, dear.

[It's not really the fireproofing she's worried about...]

You mean, you think it's because of all the weird stuff that's been happening? I guess so.

[Cissie sighs, sitting down nearby] I mean, it explains my sudden ability to teleport everywhere.

[ There is a slight chuckle. Part of her considers she doesn't deserve such a concerned roomie. ]

I'd chalked it up to being this close to the sea but perhaps that as well could be part of it.

[ Though she seems to think it over a while, toying with her glass. ]

Did this sudden ability appear overnight?

Unfortunately. I figured it out the moment I woke up and realized I was all the way in Deling. I've never even been there!

[Part of her's still miffed at how she was there in her pajamas. How embarrassing!]

Deil-- I was wondering where you were. I figured you were out about but Deiling?

[ Staring a moment, cold all but forgotten. Hey, if it happened to someone, who's to say it wouldn't happen to her. ]

However did you get back, dear girl?

The same way I got there, I guess. [She shrugs.] I just thought about going back to my room and POOF! I'm back.

[ Hm. But then, Cissie hasn't really shown being able to do that... Garden had the strangest happenings. ]

You should be careful about being anywhere. I had an uncle with the same ability. Once, he thought himself into a shower stall.

Not pretty, needless to say.

[Ouch. Cissie can't help wincing.]

Yeah, I don't really plan on using it. Superpowers aren't exactly something I wanted in the first place.

[ Crossing her legs now to take a sip of that tea she's got. ]

But considering its rather unstable nature... perhaps a measure of caution to your train of thought is needed, hm?

[She nods in agreement.] Probably. But I thought I'd let you know just in case... I don't know, I end up in the ocean or someplace bizarre.

[ There is the tiniest smile of understanding. ]

Of course. Should go disappear on me without any explanation, I'm certain I can manage to charter a Garden car to go get you.

Would you really? [Cissie can't help giggling at the thought.] That'd be awesome.

And hey, I'll make you some warm soup for dinner tonight. It'd probably be better than whatever this place's serving.

After all, while we share the same dorm, it'd be better we look after each other.

[ There's a smile back, one rather devoid of her usual sarcasm. Pretty soft, actually. Touched. ]

No problem. It'd be kind of fun to try, so I wouldn't mind. [She beams, slowly starting to pick up all her books.]

I guess I'll go ahead and grab something to eat, so... I'll see you tonight?

[ Cissie gets a smile back. There's something charming about actual concern versus servants tripping all over themselves. ]

Of course. If you'd like, I could keep you company while you eat.

It's... the least I can do.
