{{OOC NOTE; this takes place after THIS. Quistis is in charge of escorting Seifer to the infirmary and Claire is dealing with Squall. NOTE TO SQUALL & CLAIRE-MUN: if you wish to include a thread between Squall and Claire talking or doing whatever (i.e. also going to the Infirmary after Seifer and Quistis) after the fist-fight incident, you're more than welcome to include it in here! :) }}
[Silence. That's all that had carried on between them during their walk to the Infirmary. Why talk when he'd had nothing to say to her? Currently Seifer's face is nothing but a layer of pain part numb and the other part a dull throbbing beneath the dark expression he wears as he sits on the edge of the bed. His nose doesn't want to seem to stop bleeding but that's the least of his problems.
Probably a good thing the doctor left them alone only moments ago, leaving Quistis to treat Seifer's injuries: a split bottom lip, swelling and bruising in various parts of his face especially his nose and under the eyes, a broken nose that will take time to heal, a headache that will be sure to increase long before their 'talk' is over...
No matter how hard Seifer had glared at the back of Quistis's damn head while she had walked in front of him as his 'escort', he had wanted to tell her where to shove her authority and walk off. What irked him the most was -- what the hell did he need an ESCORT for?! And why did it have to be her, of all people? Seifer would have been better off with Claire. He knows he would have been. But for now he's stuck with Trepe and knows for a fact that she has his balls literally in a grip as the lieutenant commander.
There's no way he can simply walk away; trolling her on the BBS is one thing but this... this is something entirely different.
It's called being in deep shit.]

But in this moment, Quistis is anything but. She walks in front of Seifer, shoulders tense and boots clacking loudly against the tiled floor as they walk through the hallway towards the empty room which Dr. Kadowaki had instructed them to wait in. Once they arrive, Quistis jerks the door open and holds it open to ensure that Seifer will actually enter instead of trying to escape should there be a chance-- and Quistis is going to make sure no opportunity presents itself.]
"What happened back there?" [She isn't yelling just yet-- instead, her tone is cold as ice as she closes the door behind them, a hand on her hip as she shoots Seifer a disapproving look.

I don't know, Lieutenant Commander, what does it look like? What do you think happened?

[She heads to the small freezer in the corner of the room and takes out an ice pack, wrapping it in a towel before holding it out for Seifer to take.]
For the swelling.

Finally Seifer lifts the ice pack up to his jaw, his posture tense. He's on-guard, bracing himself for what's to come still.]
Nothin' to explain.

[She crosses her arms, frowning.]

[Seifer gingerly applies the ice pack to another part of his face. Probably better to not tell her what he'd said to make Squall snap.]

[Trying not to scowl at her because ouch, just talking alone hurts.]

[He then snorts and, despite the sharp pain in his jaw, clenches his teeth.]
Sure shows he's capable I bet.

[Quistis is a little preoccupied as she mentally shifts through her magic archive, settling on an aura which she casts on herself.]
What did you say to him?
no subject
[He's done, he's had enough. This is pointless. Seifer begins to rise up off the edge of the bed, tossing the ice pack down onto the mattress.]
no subject
Now, what did you say to Squall?
no subject
[With that he begins to make his way around the bed and towards her and the door.]

Not to say she's complacent, by any means- her pale eyes are narrowed in an expression clearly speaking of "not impressed" when she glances at him, but whether she plans on delivering any sort of negatively-toned lecture... that remains to be seen. They're most of the way to their destination before she finally speaks up, her voice low but neutral. ]
Why were you fighting?
♥
[The reply is almost instantaneous- so familiar it's worn at this point. He does stop walking for the briefest moment at that though, hand on his hip as he looks down. He's... Commander now. He really can't say things like that, especially to an Instructor and fellow SeeD. What is he supposed to say though? ...The truth would probably be a good start. There are things he can't say, won't say, but he can give the basics.]
...My emotions got the better of me.
[A lot, if his face is anything to say about it. Cause that's really starting to hurt right about now.]

But that's not what is important here, is it? ]
... I'm not going to stand around and tell you all the reasons why you can't do that... I'm sure you know them already.
[ Her gaze on him is steady, arms crossed as she pauses a few steps in front of him. The tone here may kind of smack of "you'd better" on the surface, but... actually, she's not angry, either. Just telling it like she sees it. ]
But you are going to have to start figuring out quick what you're going to say, when everyone else starts asking about this.

... ... ...
He's getting lost inside his head again. he shakes it, trying to clear up his thoughts.]
Would 'I didn't like Seifer's face' qualify?
no subject
[ She shifts her weight, slowly lowering her chin. You're not amusing her here with that at all, Squall... and right now she's really being reminded again that there happens to be a 'commander' around here who's hardly even old enough to be considered an adult. He's sure not acting like it at the moment.
And so despite what she just said about giving him reasons why he was in the wrong-- ]
Think about this: you're not just making yourself look bad here... but also those who choose to continue harboring someone who attacks a person in charge. [ She lets that sink in a moment- he's making Seifer look bad too, even if that's not something she really cares about. She doesn't really think he would either, so it goes unmentioned directly. ] I suggest that whatever he did to set you off... you either fix it, or learn to deal, quick.
