[Living here at Garden wasn't that unlike living in the Cave. Alright, so there was no hangar for her Bioship, or a high tech surveillance system she had access to, nor an android who served as their caretaker-- not to mention there are so many more people who live in the school compared to the two other people beside herself back in the Cave. But, she still had her own room in the shared dormitory where the other room was still empty, which was quite nice. It was hard work pretending to be normal all the time; a little privacy did wonders to lift the stress from her shoulders.

M'gann is in the common area now, sitting at the table with her books all laid out. The classes certainly were fascinating, but the workload wasn't to be taken lightly. She is in the middle of reading her 'Intro to Para-magic and Guardian Forces' textbook, nibbling on a cookie as she takes a moment to consider the paragraph she has just read.]

[Getting pulled from Spira was one thing but getting pulled from Spira and forced to take classes? That was a whole 'nother can of worms. As if the fact they were military class weren't bad enough, she had work do to after classes. And all these books. Ugh.

She hadn't actually managed to find her room the first few nights, but after breaking down and asking for help, Rikku was hauling her stuff to where she would be staying. She reaches for the door...

...only to drop all of her things when it opens]

[With the door opening without a warning, M'gann jumps up from her seat at the table, knocking over a couple of books as she does so. Instinct kicks in before she has a moment to think, her body shapeshifting to adopt a much more human appearance of peachy-tan skin over the previous green hue.

Seeing that it's only another female on the other side of the door (with all her possession spilled across the ground into the dormitory), M'gann hesitantly approaches her.]

May I help you…?

[Rikku looks up from gathering her things]

Oh, uhm, sorry, I didn't realize anyone else was in here. I just got here--this is the dorm they gave me.

Oh! [Realization dawns on M'gann, and she gives the other girl a wide smile.]

You must be my roommate! Welcome! [M'gann hurries to the girl then, helping her gather her things.]

I'm Rikku. Hela du saad oui! Sorry for kinda...spilling my stuff everywhere. I didn't arrive with a lot but geez, they gave me a lot.

[That one little bit of foreign language confuses M'gann. She pauses and looks at Rikku with interest.] Was that another language you spoke?

Oh... [M'gann tilts her head then. She'd never heard the language before on Earth, but perhaps it was a language of this world? Or maybe she was an off-worlder, as well...?]

Time Compression as well. I arrived here a couple of weeks ago... maybe a month. [Wow, time sure has flown by.]

[Smiling, Rikku starts talking about Spira--only the good parts, though, not the bad parts about Sin and Yevon. Megan didn't ask, so. When she's done, she sighs sadly]

The ocean? There's a beach not too far outside of Garden! We can go during our free time, if you'd like. I like the beach, as well.

The swimming instructor, Jecht? He's a blitzball star. Which is why he complains about people not being able to hold their breath here.

Oh, wow! I've never heard of such a thing. That sounds really neat. But... I have to say, holding your breath for that long underwater does seem unusual. [But then again, she knows Kaldur.]

Just about! I'm not a pro blitzer, I just play for fun most of the time, so I never went to all the training everyone else did. But ten minutes is a piece of cake for me.
