ATTN: Students and Faculty
For any holidays you wish to see promoted leave a name and small description here. This is not for off-worlders only, regional holidays not currently observed by Garden may be listed.
- Commander Squall Leonhart
[If anyone wants action they are either going to have to track Squall down to where he is hiding in his room or catch him wandering around the first floor lobby at an obscenely late hour of the night wondering why he was too dumb to ask the cafeteria to set a meal aside for him.]
((ooc: if your canon doesn't cover any in-canon holidays or your character's from VIII-world, feel free to make up some logical holidays o/))

[Since July seems short notice.]

- Instructor Botan

[He also sent Squall an intensely detailed PM about Ramadan, specifying exactly how the cafeteria could help them out (mainly by selling dates and fruit juice) and how faculty and instructors could help Muslims like Damian out (ie, going easy on him and being okay if he misses an assignment).
It might be a little too long, but he likes being prepared.]

Nowruz. It's the beginning of the new year, and it's celebrated on the day of the spring equinox.
Why the sudden interest, Commander?

- Commander Squall Leonhart.
[DOES NOT WANT TO ADMIT TO THINGS sob this wasn't a weird post to make at all...]

- Instructor Sharpay Evans
Vote Sharpay Evans and Tom Bronson for Homecoming Queen and King!
[Yeah, Sharpay's up late too: Those campaign flyers et al don't make themselves, you know. :| She's taking a break from the grind with a walk around the first floor; girl doesn't really feel like taking on some monsters.]
Good evening, Commander. [And there's a sly smile and a lazy salute: She's friends with your girlfriend, Squall...]

Instructor Evans, right?
[He's been trying to brush up on who all the staff are though he's not sure he's gotten this right.]

What brings you to the lobby at... [She glances at her watch and announces the time, a little amused.]

[...] A walk.
[After curfew, but whatever technically that never stopped him as a cadet either.]
Did you need something?
[He's not really sure why she's walking around after curfew either. Unless it's for the same reason. ...Which would be weird.]

Just a break, stretching my legs. I didn't feel like dealing with the monsters. [That last part's rather flippant, but as she lets her gaze wander around, she becomes a bit more thoughtful.] Never really knew how peaceful Garden is this time of night. [It's nice.]

[Silence can be comforting in its own way. But he nods.]
Nice to meet you Instructor.
[Just... going to go on his way if that's it... ...awkwardsville up in here FFFF]

[Oh, he's leaving now? It's cool with her; she hears about Squall's awkward turtle-ness too.]
Good night, Commander!

You know Rinoa?
no subject
Rinoa is...one of my best friends here. [That hesitation isn't over naming Rinoa as one of her best friends; it's over having someone to call her best friend at all, proper friendships instead of her weak relationships with her 'friends' back home.]

[...] How were things. The past year here?
