[Here's Shadow, staring out the window in the hallways. Or it seems that he is, but he's actually looking at his reflection in the glass, still so confused. Just yesterday he was just slightly over three feet tall and a hedgehog, and now a serious growth spur occured.

Oh, right. Also human

A gloved hand goes through his hair. Hair. And these new clothes. What...is he supposed to do with clothes? Humans and their need to cover up.

It's obviously still him, if anyone knows him and bothers to look at the signs.]

[Ron's passing through the hall on his way to his next class when he comes across the lone person standing there.]

[Turns to the voice, only barely recognizing him as a cadet. Folds his arms.]

Everything. It's none of your concern, though.

[ It's safe to say that in walking the halls, Claire has recently grown even more alert than how she normally is, which... is probably the only reason Shadow catches her eye- there's something familiar-seeming about him, causing her to slow her stride, studying him with a curious but still-serious gaze... ]

[That's a face he hasn't seen. Tom blinks, stuffing his hands in his pocket as he glances over at Shadow.]

... Need any help?

[At the footsteps that slowed down, Shadow turns his attention to Lightning, seeing the recognition in her eyes, and confusion.]

I'll give you two guesses.

[Turns to Tom. So he doesn't recognize him.]

I know my way around.

[Give him a minute....]

Sh-Shadow? Is that really you?

[Took him that long?]

Yes.

[werepanther]

Why didn't you tell me you were a were-hedgehog, man? [He heads over and affectionately pats Shadow on the back. Guess who jumped to the wrong conclusion?] We could've made a club!

[eiusumbra]

I'm not a were-hedgehog. [Bats away that hand. Stop that!] A club? Ridiculous.

[werepanther]

[Tom really can't help snorting. Shadow hadn't changed a bit, even if his appearance did.] It was a joke, man... but if you're not a were-hedgehog, what are you?

[Good question.]

A SeeD. [It's all that mattered now.]

[ Claire frowns slightly as she stares at him- yeah, she recognizes some of those features, but it's kind of awkward to think something so fantastical, and to guess when she hates being wrong. The fact that he said something like that at all helps, though. ]

... Shadow?

[sigh. It wasn't quite the answer he was looking for...] You couldn't do the transforming thing before you came here, right?

[A nod is given in confirmation. See, there is nothing wrong with guessing.]

[Cue the sheepish look.] So this was the work of Time Compression... jeez. That's new, even for it.

[Looks to his reflection again.]

Hm. Just when things got boring around here.

[werepanther]

Wish I could help you get back to normal. [shakes his head] ... But for what it's worth, this new look's cool too.

[eiusumbra]

It's probably for the better, with missions and such.

It doesn't feel cool. [These clothes...]

[werepanther]

You're only as cool as you feel! I bet you'll get used to it with time.

[eiusumbra]

I'll work on it, since I'm melting. [Removes the jacket, seeing he had long sleeves beneath it. No wonder.]

[ Not defensive or angry here, but she's absolutely serious all the same. After everything else she's weathered recently, her 'concern' is probably justified. Sorry, Shadow. ]
