I still haven't figured out their whippy attaclargh!

[One has darted forward to snap at her. She parries it with the flat of her blade, close to the hilt, but the balance on the blade is such that it knocks the entire thing backwards -- till the extended grip catches on her forearm, as it's intended to in just this sort of situation. She might have a bruise there, but nothing worse!]

[Then she shows her training by stepping forward with her left foot, around the attack, to deliver a swift cut to the grat.]
