001 - [action/quad]
[After becoming a SeeD, normal people would probably celebrate until their little heads exploded, but Fang had always had a few screws loose. Her celebration consisted of hanging out in the quad. Strangely enough, she actually felt more relaxed here than anywhere else in Garden, except perhaps the Training Center - but there'd been too many people in there for her liking and she was in too good of a mood to tell them to get lost.
Instead, she sat near one of the only actual gardens in the place, listening to the faint hubbub of the others around her. It was far better than listening to lectures; oh thank Lady Luck she wouldn't have to hear any more of those. Well, in a classroom, at least. She had no patience for them when she could be doing something instead. At least here, it hadn't gotten her into much trouble, unlike her schooldays in Oerba.
Fang chuckled lightly to herself. After being here for a year, it felt like it'd been another lifetime since she was last in Oerba. In a way, it was, she supposed. A year was supposed to be forever to a l'cie, and yet here they all were like nothing had ever happened.
Strange how things worked out.
...Huh. Maybe she should have gone to the Training Center. She ended up thinking too much otherwise.]

[No way.]
[He can't be -- they can't be this lucky.]
[From the Lobby entrance, Snow vaults down the stairs in one bound and hits the ground at a charge towards the long-lost l'cie.]
Fang!

Don't look so shocked, hero.

[Not usual behavior even for 'everyone's friend' Snow, but circumstances being what they were -- and after a year and a half of separation -- well, hopefully he can be forgiven the gesture.]
You're here. You're here!
no subject
Uh, Snow? Feel like lettin' me breathe?
no subject
[Grinning, he releases her, stepping back to look her over. Same old Fang.]
You're the last one to show up. We've been waiting.

[ That was what she was trying to do today, at least, having tucked a couple books from the library under her arm. Cheerfully, she hopped down the staircase into the quad, keeping her eyes on her feet rather than around her. It was only when she reached the bottom step that she looked up and saw something that startled her enough to drop everything she'd been carrying, papers stuffed in the books scattering along the ground. ]
Fang..?!

Vanille!

[ If Fang hadn't done it, she would have, wrapping her arms around the other girl tightly and burying her face against her chest. There's a long, quiet moment where she's content to stay just like that, mind racing. Once that moment has passed, she pulls back and looks up at her, uncertainty in her eyes. ]
You're really here? It's really you..?

I'm here. Made you worry, didn't I?

He takes his time to approach her and ends up stopping several feet away. Once again, he has to deal with the mystery of how the l'Cie will react to his presence. He has more of a history with Fang than the others, but Cid's not entirely sure that will play in his favor.]
Fang. To think that you would be here as well...
no subject
Hey, there ain't no gettin' rid of me that easily.
no subject
I think you misunderstand. I was merely surprised, as I just met Sergeant Farron here the other day. I had not expected to see another from our world so soon.
However--[There's a pause, and his gaze slips away momentarily.]--I believe I can understand your reaction, and for that, I apologize.
no subject
Though I've gotta say, I'm surprised you're here. You never seemed like the sort to stick around in a school.

[Zuko + logic = ?]
OH SNAP |D
Why the hell would I laugh at you when I haven't even got a clue as to who you are?

[Well. That's new! Hope thought to himself as he dashed over to her.]
When... When did you get here?

no subject
I guess you're not hard to miss. How are you?
no subject
Looks like you're faring pretty well here, yeah?
no subject
No, it's definitely something far more complicated- namely regarding now knowing where all six of those l'Cie (and then some) are that she's supposed to have taken care of back in her own world. The pressure of her branding fal'Cie's will was broken when she got herself dragged here and somehow had her Brand shut off from advancing, but she's far from forgetting her Focus. It's hard to ignore the fact that she most likely could finish it now if she chose to.
Problem is... is it worth the risk when it might not 'take?' When the natives here don't stand a chance of understanding why it's so important...? Probably not, which is why despite how badly she wants to, she still does nothing....
And soooo... is she going to do anything about Fang right now? No, of course not. She simply stews in fury where she's sitting, glaring at the woman from under a fringe of pale hair. This one? If it comes to it you can bet she's definitely going to be hostile. ]
no subject
Glad you've decided to stop running around like a chocobo with its head cut off. Something wrong?
no subject
Shut up.
[ Yeah. After everything, she's so fed up and blatantly unfriendly right now that it's practically radiating off of her like an airborne poison. The last thing she wants right now is to field a conversation with someone who is not only a Pulse l'Cie, but is from Pulse! ]
I'm not 'Lightning.' Leave me alone.
[ And she's not going to move from where she is - her opinion on the matter consists mostly of the hope that Fang has some sense right now... enough to walk away, at least. ]
no subject
Really, now?
Mind tellin' me who you are, then? 'Cause last I looked, you were most definitely Lightning.
