002 - Oliver! [Action] Dance Troupe Formation!

[It's Friday Lunchtime in the Quad. There are people. Lots of People, and There is an instructor near the centre of the Quad and has two fold out tables there. He unfolds them both before hopping up onto them. There is a bullhorn too.]

Hey Everyone! This is instructor Westcliffe, and this is an intervention!

[He just lets that sit for a moment.]

Nah. Not really. But I do have something much cooler for you all. Tomorrow, Saturday I want anyone who is interested in joining the premier dance troupe in the Garden! No previous talent required and we'll take anyone. No elitism here.

[With that he beams. And just to show off, Puts the bull horn down, and jumps off of the table, twisting upsidedown in the air and landing on his feet in a perfect cross-legged crouch so he can twist dramatically to a standing position, sweeping his left hand and extending his right to create a perfect showmans bow.]

Sign ups here! First meeting tomorrow morning at 11am sharp. Late people will be given embarrassing introductory activities. Or not. Show up have fun! That's the Agenda!

Ah, a difficult maneuver! I like aerials, myself. There's something really mesmerizing about not using one's hands.

But why don't you join up? There's no harm in trying it out, if you don't like it, It's not like I'm chaining you to a post.

By 'dance troupe,' what do you mean exactly? Are we limited to like, one style of dancing?

Nope. I know a lot of styles of dance, and we'll be a performing troupe. Moving seamlessly from one dance to the next.

[ There was a raised eyebrow at the mention of an intervention but the princess smirks a moment at the slight display. A dancer knows her moves, can judge others and perhaps... color her impressed. ]

Quite a performance professor. Are you always this... outwardly spoken?

[ A snap of the fan open as she approaches. ]

[ SO EXCITE! Only she doesn't show it, the lineface is still pretty much there. But her eyes are wide behind her shades. ]

[M'gann had been in the quad reading when she hears the sudden announcement from Instructor Westcliffe. She listens with earnest, nodding along until he's done. She even applauds when he does his little flip and bow!

A dance troupe? It sounds fun-- maybe even a chance for her to try and fit in even more! She's seen cheerleading squads on television; it couldn't be that much different, could it? And being a cheerleader always means you fit in.

She moves to the back of the line to sign-up, looking a bit nervous but trying not to let it show.]

[He grins parts the line and smiles at her.]

How are you M'Gann? [He said beaming and holding out the clipboard and offering her a pen.] Looking to sign up?

[M'gann beams at the compliment, her cheeks even reddening a touch.]

I'm fine, Instructor Westcliffe! How are you?

[She takes the clipboard from his hands and hesitates, the pen hovered over the blank line.] I'm not particularly good at dancing, but I think it's fun and the dance troupe sounds exciting.

An intervention is it? [The edges of Rinoa's eyes are already crinkled with amusement when the smile makes it to her mouth.]

Then this must be important. It's not about how some people here need to learn to appreciate dancing more, is it? No?

[One of these days she'd talk Squall into at least sitting in on a dance class in hopes of maybe getting him to do more dancing in the future.]

Well I guess the Dance Troupe is pretty important too. [She's teasing obviously.] Did you sign me up already?

[Hi Rinoa. He's totally ignoring what you're saying to make a giant show Of taking one of your hands, twirling you delicately before catching you in his arms, dipping you gently, guiding you in one turn before allowing you to be free again. NOW you may be addressed.]

Hello Rinoa! And of course the Dance Troupe is important. Most Important thing I'll do here.

[He gives her a grin and a wink before he hands her the board and pen.] And miss the chance to show the public the prettiest girl in the garden is signing up? Never.

[She knows that it's coming, but it ruins the fun if she acts prepared for it. Still she moves with the impromptu dance easily enough, which isn't all that hard to do when you're dancing with someone who dances like he does.]

Hello Oli! [The smile turns from amusement to happy one.] Spreading the message of dance wherever we go?

[She takes the board, laughing as she signs her name.] The prettiest girl in Garden? I'd be careful the Trepies might hear you. Again.
