[Oh, now this is hard.

It probably doesn't really look like he's struggling, but Espio feels really sluggish. He's been out of training for a few weeks, and as far as he's concerned it's left him really rusty. It's not like him to go so long without training.

And to make it worse? This bloody twig is getting in the way!

Oh yes. Espio's taking Blunt Weapons this quarter, just to pass a little time now that he's completed his Martial Arts training. Using a pole, though, is trickier than he'd anticipated - he's used to much more freedom of movement. He's sure that, in time, it'll get much easier, but right now the pole is just... a thing that's to be worked around rather than with.
]

Maybe it'll be better if I just use the stick as a movement thing for now...

[Well! that's something you don't see everyday. Oli thinks to himself as he walks into the training facility. Oli decides that rather than break his concentration he's just going to watch for a little while.

Unless he needs help of course.]

Oh! Good. I haven't suddenly gained the ability to be invisible. I was starting to wonder.

[He raises his eyebrow at you.]

[The guy shrugs and puts his hand on a near by tree. He starts to sparkle subtly.]

Well... so you're a chameleon?

[His arms are by his side. He spins, his leg straight out. The Grat connects with his outstretched leg and a sickening crunch is heard from the Grat. Oli lowers his foot afterwards.]

Well, you look like a lizard-y thing. Chameleons can slip away from sight. So I put two and two together.

Events in my life kinda taught me that "monsters" very normally turn out to be people.

[He shakes his head.]

Back home, I'd be part of the "monster" crowd myself.

Ah, See, to them? I wouldn't be a human. I'd be "mutant".

I'm one of the lucky ones. But... Some of my friends don't fit that bill. And I'm no traitor I'll stick by my merry band of freaks. So no escape from the monster label.

[Shrugs and pokes the nearest plant. It wilts, his skin glistening brighter.]

Yeah. I got some funny looks when I could lift my instructor effortlessly as if he was a piece of paper. And the time I threw that car...

[He gives another grin.]

But powers? Only for a gifted few. Then we have some lovely arseholes that decided we were better than humans, and now the entire world doesn't like us.
