001 - Oli's first dance [Action]

[There is a guy sitting in the middle of the quad. He looks incredibly happy to be there and he's not hiding it. He's got his legs crossed, a can of soda in his hands and he's smiling to himself.

He hums a tune as he pours the rest of his soda into his mouth, swishes it around before swallowing. With his continued beaming, he crushes the can in his fist and throws it diagonally cut across the entire quad, before it bounces off of one of the walls and lands into the trash can.

He pumps his fist before standing up, If you saw him standing, you may see a fairly faint trail of sparkles. If you watch him walk towards the cafeteria, with a particular spring in his step, you may notice some definite glittery sparkles as he half-skips to the door.]

"X-Gene?" [Tilts his head a little at a loss again.]

Ah, so your sparkles aren't -- eh, healing related?

They can be. My power lets me absorb energy from living things and use it to heal myself, increase my strength, agility, dexterity. And it looks awesome too.

[He puts his hand back on the grass. The grass looks a little less wilted now. He puts on an uncanny sounding Professor Xavier, not that Marco would know who that is.]

The X-Gene is a gene found in select few individuals. This gene is responsible for the ability you have. Ahh yes, We know about your ability. Rest assured that your secret is safe with us. The X-Gene is a mutated gene which is unique to everyone it evolves within. Each ability produced by the X-gene is unique. Blah Blah Blah.

[Stares at for a moment.] Mate, [Yup, using that term after just being told not to.] I'm pretty sure you don't know my ability. Devil fruits are unique too, but they come with a curse, and ah, never mind, eh?

Nah. Having the ability to throw cars has pretty much outweighed any negativity. And a Curse? Ouch.

[Yeah... he's ignoring the mate thing. He's just going to stand up again.]

Most of us come side-effect free. Only person I know that doesn't is Rogue. She can't touch anyone cause she'll absorb their memories and if they have powers, powers.

Nope. It's sad really...

[He looks down then springs up on his feet.]

I kind of get it. Before I could control my power, anyone I touch would wither. I could feel it. It was creepy.

Huh. Usually only logia users have that kind of problem in my world. Ace did at first, but he got it under control eventually.

Mostly. [There's a sad distant look for a bit.]

Yeah. My best friend. It's been awhile since I've seen him though. And I've all but given up hope of it happening again.

But hey. You could also get fire breathing dinosaurs with a taste for things that sparkle.
