_{[Things never seemed to go right for Cocona, did they? Getting herself involved with helping others somehow always led to getting herself into more trouble than she wanted, and let's not even go into the recent situation she had just recently helped with, the whole helping to restore the world deal. So it shouldn't have come as a surprise to her that she somehow managed to find herself in some sort of school that was called a "Garden", due to "Time Compression" or whatever that letter had been talking about, and... she was enrolled now? And going to take classes?

Something felt missing from this equation, such as the part where she voluntarily agreed to coming here. Last she checked, Cocona had been heading home, to Metafalica.

Cocona... that's a pretty name! Unusual too, for me. What's the name of your world? [By now, he's also learned that not everyone comes from Earth. And it only took him two years too.]

Unusual, huh? It never seemed that way to me. _{[but that's because the naming scheme of your world is weird Cocona...]} My world is called Ar Ciel; it means "this world" in Hymmnos, which... I guess isn't exactly a fancy name, but it's still where I live.

It sounds prettier than "Earth," anyways. That's the name of my world... it's kind of on the normal side, compared to this place.

[he pauses for a moment to show her the library, then continues] Unusual not bad. You'll find out soon enough that 'usual' is actually 'unusual' here.

Huh, really? A lot's gone on in Ar Ciel for a long time now; it's just now sort of calming down.

So it's like that, then? Sounds like I don't have much to worry about, then, when it comes to that.

Pretty much. The most you'll worry about here is passing your classes. Or surviving here, if you're gonna refuse Headmaster's offer.

[chuckles] I tried that for a week. Worst decision I'd ever made.

Boo... well, I might as well go along for now. I've never been to school before, so maybe I'll get something out of this that Cro couldn't teach me.

I grew up in the Slums at first, when I was younger. Cro found me and took me in after my parents died in an IPD outbreak. He taught me a lot! I didn't know how to read or write or do anything for myself when I first came to live with him.

[Whoa, that's not what he was expecting. He whistles, running a hand through his hair.] Jeez... and I thought I had it bad. I don't know what I can do to help - though I think you've got it better now? - but let me know if I can.

It's been an interesting journey these past few years, but I've learned a lot, I think! Not necessarily anything they'd teach in school, but still important.

I wouldn't know at the moment, but I'll remember that.

Then you've come to the right place for "school" stuff. Sort of. This's a military school, so they also teach you how to fight and use weapons and the like.

A military school, huh? I know I always wanted to join the knights so I could help Cro out on his missions when I was little, but I never really thought I'd end up at a school dedicated to something like this.

So... if this place brings people in from all over, and teaches them fighting skills, would Song Magic be counted towards that?

Maybe. You'd first have to explain to me what that is. [Though he totally likes the sound of it, what with him being the God of Music]

It's a form of magic, I guess you could call it, that Reyvateils use. Basically, she, well, draws power from her emotions and memories to craft songs, that can do a lot of different things. _{[it's actually sound science rather than magic but shh]}

So it's... like fighting, but with music? I could get behind that. [He's totally grilling her about this later.] Music was kind of "my thing" back home.

Something like that, pretty much! _{[haha she prefers taking up the frontlines rather than singing but she will answer his questions....]} Huh, really? "Your thing"?

That's right! [How does he explain this... well, in the meantime, he takes her to some of the classrooms] I was the most musically-inclined of my siblings, so I usually put on concerts and stuff for my family.

So that's how it is? Sounds pretty neat; in that case, I guess Reyvateils would sound pretty interesting, huh?

Exactly! For someone obsessed with music, it sounds like Paradise.

In that case, I don't mind telling you what I know, then.
