Regardless of the rather strange act of making sure to sneak in without anyone noticing at first, Claire Farron has now decided that she won't be hard to find any more- at least for now. There's a very distinctive, pink-haired presence around Balamb Garden again, and though most of what she's up to currently - making sure her rooms are in order, going through any changes that have taken place since her last visit before missions... make no mistake. The school's latest new Instructor is definitely eying up wandering students and anyone else who happens to pass her by as well.

And she's obviously, almost painfully tense, looking very severe in her dark, form-fitting clothing as she stalks the lobby, dorm, and classroom areas with broody purpose and a stack of various folders in-hand. Every time she bothers to take pause, her arms are crossed, posture stiff. Yes, she knows perfectly well that they are around here somewhere, and the idea that they've been allowed to teach and train here makes her blood boil. Time has done very little to fade the dark feelings she has towards the cursed Pulse l'Cie from her home.

Although "Lightning" won't really object to others coming to talk to her too, her sharpness is palpable- when it comes down to it, she knows that either she will find them... or they will find her. It's just a matter of when... and she might as well get it over with, in addition to 'greeting' those she'll be spending time near from here on in general. ]

[He's silent for a few moments. He knew that she was different, but something like this? Sazh didn't expect it at all.]

[Anger rises up inside of him, but he pushes it back. This is still Lightning, right? She may be part of PSICOM, but deep down it should still be the Lightning they all know. Still, he can't let it go without knowing why she joined them.]

What sort of lies did they tell you to get you to join them?

Lies? [ Well, that's a newer one. Claire just raises an eyebrow at Sazh in mild incredulity. ] I wasn't told any lies.

[Sazh shakes his head. Using that approach was probably not the best idea.]

Let me put it this way. Why did you join them?

[ Why does any young woman go and get recruited into PSICOM? And yet she just stares at him silently- even though she's got nothing to hide about her military origins, the fact that he's questioning her about it is... bizarre, to say the least. ]

What? You going to need my grades for throughout high school, too? [ She lifts a hand in the near-universal 'stop' gesture. ] I'm not interested in talking to you.

Look, I'm just trying to figure out what is so different about you from the Lightning I know. The one I knew back in my world would have never joined PSICOM. Not even if her life depended on it.

[ Unfortunately, all her efforts are now turned to shutting him down, and she just shakes her head, not even looking at him. What he's saying is absurd to her, of course, though it's also no surprise- so far the Pulse l'Cie here haven't done anything to disprove her theory of them all being completely crazy. ]

Look... All I ask is that you don't hurt anyone. If you can manage that, maybe we can stay out of each other's hair.

... If I planned on doing anything here, you'd all be dead already.

[ Said in the exact same tone as her "Next time we meet, we might be [enemies] too" declaration, and just like then, she turns right around to walk straight out of this conversation. The distinction is there, though, even if it's a fine line; AKA, consider it a deal-- at least until she can find a way to get away with it. Without losing the tenuous life she's managed to build here. ]
