[It still hasn't really sunk in for Cissie that yes, she's stuck in a new world without any way back home, and yes, she just arrived in the middle of exam week, which is why the campus's slightly more deserted than normal.

Although she's taking care to explore the place while she has the chance, she's not quite looking where she's going--and unfortunately for Ciss, that means she trips over her own two feet and starts tumbling down the (rather long) staircase down to the open-air garden.

Someone might want to help her or laugh at the klutz... because um, without it, she just might discover the infirmary (or that nice garden) a heck of a lot sooner than she intended.]

[A DAMSEL IN DISTRESS? Looks like a job for Impulse! Luckily for Cissie, the quad is a boring place for Bart so he's been darting around the place, waiting for a kid to fall out of a tree or something, his Flash ring ready for action. A teenager falling down the stairs is close enough, though, and he quickly changes into the Impulse costume.]

[It isn't until time slows down and he's hurtling toward her that he realizes it's Cissie and wow, this is so totally great, except she's kind of falling down the stairs. He's grinning when he catches her and time speeds up again.]

Cissie! What are you doing here? Besides falling down stairs, I mean.

Bart! [This has officially been the best surprise she could've received, especially after the "Time Compression" speech. Staring at him for a little longer than normal, she shrugs sheepishly at him.]

I just arrived this morning. Apparently this lame "Time Compression" sucked me in?

Two whole weeks! It's been horrible! [Well, not really, but he misses Young Justice and Jay and Joan and Carol and Max.]

[Why so mean, Seifer 8| Cissie eventually crashes on the grass. She winces, inspecting herself before giving Seifer intense glares.]

I'm glad I was able to amuse someone. [SIGH. Cissie stands up, bwing careful to put most of her weight on her left leg] Where's the infirmary here?

Down the hall, make a right. [Easy enough directions, right?]

Should be easy enough to find, especially for a simpleton like you. Try not to get lost on your first day here.

[brightens]

[ She'd been sitting at the bottom of the stairs, pretending to study the book she had laid out in her lap when she hears something behind her... Something like... Oof, oof oof? ]

[ Unfortunately it seems she takes too long trying to figure out what the noise sounded like... Because she gets hit from behind and goes sprawling out on the steps herself. ]

[Okay, crashing into another student hadn't been on Ciss's agenda, but then again, neither had been falling down the stairs. Finally landing onto the ground, Cissie winces and attempts to get up. She wobbles for a moment, then slowly stands up.]

I'm so sorry. Are you alright...? [Immediately, she offers her hand to the other Cadet]

[brightens]

[ Vanille returns the wince, taking her hand before hopping to her feet. Her knees are a little scratched up, but, otherwise... ]

I'm fine! [ Not like she hasn't taken a spill before. ] How about you? You came rolling down the stairs, huh?

Yeah... I'm not sure how it happened, either. [She sighs, shaking her head.] I'm not much of a klutz.

Guess there must've been something in my way. [Though that now begs the question, "what on earth tripped her?"]

Maybe. Ah— [ She turns around to look at the stairs and try to find the culprit! ]

[ And upon her landing, she'd most likely land smack right into this lady walking right past the stairs. The impact knocks her over and the two are bound to find themselves in a rather uncompromising position... with perhaps Ciss on Lalianna or the other way around.

Either way, the princess isn't pleased. ]

[Immediately jumping off now! Of all the ways to make a first impression. She offers a hand to Lalianna.]

Of course. Because everyone thinks "oh hey, there's a staircase! Let me fall down it and cause bodily harm!"

[SIGH] Sorry. You're not hurt, right?

[ She takes the hand, checking her heel slightly. Oh good. Still in once piece. ]

[Cissie nods, glancing down at her legs] Looks fine to me.

It probably wouldn't have been the best way to start the first day, anyways, by paying the infirmary a visit.

[Rinoa's on her way up the stairs when the thumping noise catches her attention. Seeing the body come tumbling down, she launches into action right away.

Reaching for paramagic is almost instinctual after all this time and it doesn't take too long for her to cast first float and then stop. One to get the poor girl off the stairs and the other to stop her in her tracks all together.

Welcome to your first taste of para-magic Cissie. Walking up the stairs towards the floating girl, she stops on the step just below her.]

Hey, are you okay?

[The answer to that is probably not a positive one, since she's left Cissie floating in the air a good foot off the ground. It's the thought that counts, right?]

[Holy crap. Cissie really doesn't know what's happening - she figures it's magic of some kind, since she's seen it before - but before she has a chance to react, she's... above the ground? Instinctively squirming, she stares down at her feet and then at the caster.]

Iii... did you do this? I'm fine now... I guess...

[Thank god she isn't afraid of heights.]

[Rinoa nods, holding out a hand to the other girl to try and help her stand up again.]

Float and then Stop. It seemed like the best combination at the time. I'm just glad it worked.

[She's never tried to top someone from falling down the stairs with magic before.]

Once we get you back on your feet again I'll cast dispell so you can stop floating sooner rather than later.

[Cissie raises an eyebrow but gratefully accepts the hand. Somehow, she manages to stand up- kind of, since she's still floating - above the stairs]

Dis...pel? What kind of magic do you guys use around here?

There's quite a few kinds actually.

[Casting the dispel is easy enough after that, though she makes sure the other girl doesn't lose her balance on the way down.]

Sometimes I think there's a spell for most every occasion.
