002 - boy's dormitories - locked to aang

[Surprisingly, Ron has yet to meet Momo. He doesn't even know the flying lemur - or whatever it's called - is sharing his dorm room with his roommate, the other male cadet who's bald and sports a blue arrow tattoo on his forehead.

So Ron's come in a bit early from his last afternoon class, just managing to swipe his keycard over the lock so the door slides open to let him in, his arms heavy with the textbooks.

It's like being in Hogwarts all over again.

... Is he alone this evening? Where's his spunky little roommate?

Ron looks around, the door sliding shut behind him on a quiet whoosh of air.]

[Aang is in the process of closing the door behind him as he comes out of his bedroom when Ron enters. He's back unexpectedly early which surprises Aang. Distracted, he hesitates in the closing of the door, and taking advantage of that brief moment, a small creature zooms through the doorway and into the air of the common area.]

Momo! Come back here!

Er - hey!

[And then Ron's letting out an uncharacteristic scream as soon as he sees the flying blur of white and black, his textbooks falling to the ground at his feet, as he goes to whip out his wand from his pocket, pointing blindly at where he last spotted the lemur.]

Stupefy!

Don't--! [Panicking, Aang blows in the direction of Ron's wand, effectively messing up his aim. He hopes Momo's flying doesn't put him back in the path of the spell.]

He's my friend!

[Gapes at Aang, as the Stunning Spell is thrown off its course by the gust of air, crashing loudly into a shelf and knocking books everywhere, papers floating through the air to the ground.]

Fr - friend?! He just tried to attack me!

He's just excited! Momo wouldn't hurt you. [Aang gestures back at his bedroom.] He's been stuck in there ever since you arrived.

[Keeps his wand pointed at Momo, blue eyes glancing to Aang's room and then back at his roommate.] You sure?

[Swallows heavily and tightens his grip on his wand, warily watching Momo.]

What - what is it anyway?

[Doesn't promise anything, yet.]

Momo's a flying lemur. [As he says this, Momo flies over to rest on Aang's shoulder.]

[Ron's fidgety! He quickly snaps his wand to point at Momo, blue eyes widening and watching it.]

A - a what?

[Aang scoops him up protectively in his arms.] A flying lemur.

[Eyes this supposed flying lemur for a full minute. Then slowly lowers his wand.]

...All right then.

[When the wand is lowered, Aang immediately switches to grinning.] So you're not going to tell anyone?

Why would I tell anyone? There a reason you're hidin' him?

Well, we're not allowed to have pets. [Aang looks a little guilty. He doesn't like breaking rules, but Momo is his friend.]

Oh. [Watches Momo then looks at the bald boy who is clearly a lot longer than him by a few years. Almost like a Second or Third year.]

Er - right. Name's Ron. Who're you?

I'm Aang. [He's happier now that Momo's out of danger.] Looks like we're roommates.

Aah-ng? Ong? [Wait a minute, roomie, as Ron tries to pronounce this name.]
