[Mercedes stared at the sign for several minutes, trying to figure it out on her own, but finally just spoke out loud to who ever was there to hear her.]

"What is a Garden Festival Committee?"

[She doesn't get out much, okay? ._.]

[Blinks at the girl, then looks to his sign, then back at her.

...did he write his message wrong? Ah well. An interested person from any shade is still an interested person!]

I'm glad you asked! The Garden Festival Committee is dedicated to promoting fun activities that really help us all get together and know each other better. There are a lot of dedicated souls in our committee who try their very best to conjure up interesting events, such as formal balls. Our last event was actually the Masquerade Ball, and...[Pauses and leans in a bit to add onto the suspense! He whispers.]

Don't tell anyone, but, there's a special event coming up~! [Charming smile.] I can guarantee that you'll have fun, so make sure you keep your eyes open!

[There is nothing wrong with his sign, it is perfect! It just had stuff on it that she wasn't sure of what their meaning was. And when someone spoke up to answer her, she turned to give him all her attention.

When he leaned in closer, she countered by leaning away, trying to keep the same distance between them. And even though he gave her an excellent answer, she seemed to not acknowledge it at all after his last few whispers. His last remark made her cheeks turned red before she spoke quickly.]

How.... how rude! You can make no guarantee of what I will do! How dare you assume that you know what I will enjoy?

[Gakupo is quite surprised by the response, and even more perplexed by her reaction. Either he came on too strong on her, or his charm is fading. He's not sure which reasoning he should go with.

He clears his throat and straightens up, putting on his most sincere smile. If he can't win over just one strongly skeptical woman, then he might as well hang up his shamisen!]

Young miss, I stake my honor on what I say. The Garden Festival Committee is dedicated to providing activities that would be enjoyable for everyone. If you feel that you ever are not satisfied, I'll do my best to make it up to you.

[Well, her reaction was a little excessive, but sometimes when in doubt of how she should act... Mercedes often goes with the offensive is the best defense route. ... Wait, what?

His follow up seems to help, and as her cheeks return to a normal color, she looks back to the sign.]

If people are interested, yes. The events will be announced very soon. Possibly this week. I really can't spoil the surprise!

[Sharpay pauses by the sign. While she usually doesn't take on extra students outside of, say, cov-ops majors or Sapphire kids, she has a soft spot for the Garden Festival.]

Gakupo straightens up and gives a light salute to the very eye-catching woman, who is an instructor. Ever the ladies man.]

I'm having some difficulty with Defensive Driving. [He's really downplaying the 'having some difficulty' part.]

[Sharpay gives a small nod of approval at his salute. It's so nice to get some respect around Garden especially when her short stature sometimes gets her mistaken for a student.

[But... Defensive Driving... Sharpay's been catching up on the BBS, and she's seen that parking lot.]

By 'some difficulty', do you mean the parking lot cleanups lately are your fault?

[Sharpay may be rolling her eyes, but she's thinking: She totally backed into a bush back when she was first learning to drive. And this kid's on the Garden Festival Committee, so he can't be a total idiot, right?]

I've been driving since I was fifteen. [And boy, does she miss that hot pink monogrammed car.] Maybe your instructors have been driving longer, but I find a lot of instructors here are... set in their ways.

Of course, if one hair on my head is harmed while you're in the driver's seat, I'll be holding you personally liable.
