[You can tell Espio doesn't know what to do with himself when the lizard is found in, of all places, the library, grumbling to himself as he browses the fiction shelves. Occasionally he pulls a book out, flips through a few pages, pulls a face and puts it back.

Man, he needs a hobby. Or a distraction. Something that takes his mind off the fact he's stuck indoors until they leave Trabia, at least.

He's up for talking with/arguing with/hurling books at just about anyone else in the library. They don't even need to talk to him directly - he really is just that bored.

Amongst all these books you can't find a single one to interest you?

[Marco is wearing his fake!reading glasses that signify he's being intellectual and general prefers to remain undisturbed. Of course after staying with a crew that never left him alone for so long, he's not used to the idea that they actual work at full capacity.]

Comics? Really?

What are you looking for?

[Grell's actually sitting in a cozy corner with a blanket and a good book: Dante's Inferno. Quite possibly the perfect book for cold weather! He looks up and just...LOOKS at how Espio isn't even trying to read books.

Can he read??

He flips the page and chuckles at the thought of the pink annoyance not being able to appreciate fine literature. Saddening.]

I'm not laughing at anything. [And Espio wasn't just any thing.]

[Looks down to the small blanket covering his legs and back to the other.] It's not exactly warm in here. [Reads his book] It would be useless to curl up with a classic without a blanket.
redcinemareel: (Grell: O RLY?)

I wasn't aware of such a rule against blankets in a library. [Taps chin in mock thought. And Grell thought he was notorious for making up things on the fly.] I must have skimmed over that one~.

[Doesn't budge, since hey, he found his book a while ago, and he actually LIKES libraries.]

Then I guess~ I don't have to go anywhere. [OH! This is a good part! Ah, those poor, wretched souls.]

I'll take your word on it.

Fiction or non-fiction?

Satire. Let me see...

Not really into comics, no. They strike me as picture books.

[Hands Espio an FFVIII world version of "Cat's Cradle."]

Oh? They take it really seriously then?

Does it matter if it's kid's stuff? Most sports are for kids, eh? As they like it, it shouldn't matter if I think they're idiots for it. I like romantic comedies. And you should see how much my crew gets on my case for that.

[Also takes out "Gulliver's Travels."]

Mm-hm. It's about a man who becomes a giant surrounded by little people and then alternately toy-sized himself when surrounded by giants. It's about perspectives and how people react to anything different. So it's kind of a favorite, eh?

[Since his Pops virtually was a giant, except giants in his world are even bigger.]

[Mia, on the other hand, looks perfectly at home in the library. As she flips through pages of a law volume, she even seems happy to be reading lawyer-ese.

She looks up at Espio and raises an eyebrow:]
Not much of a reader, huh?

Worst happens is you don't like it.
