Akiela's attack manages to drive into its wrist, claws clenching from the pain that wracks the wounded arm, and it succeeds in distracting his attention from Grell. Caught off guard and not being able to properly follow the movement of the redhead, the Elvoret attempts to flap its wings to create a gust strong enough to blast Grell away, but the cuts have managed to tear up the scaly wings, rendering him flightless.
