[Raven has been crafting again, and this time she's made enough to share. Or, rather, sell.

Today, she's brought a small table to the Quad, and placed her projects all over it. There's two knitted hats, because the middle of summer is the perfect time to be selling woolen accessories, but it's mostly jewellery. Most of them are pendants, but there's a couple of rings, earrings and bracelets as well. Each has a little label on them stating the price, which could be anything from 500 gil to 5000.

However, Raven's not always been the best of salespeople, even if that is her job at home. She stands there, silently, all wrapped up in her heavy coat and scarf regardless of the warm weather, watching her fellow cadets. Nobody even gets as much as a smile from her - if anything, she seems to be frowning.]

[Glancing everything over and especially overtaken by blue things, though he's clearly trying to remind himself that his wife likes red.]

[He pauses upon seeing the table with its wares and approaches to study both the items on the table as well as their seller. They're rather impressive actually, to consider that the girl actually made them by hand.]

[A small nod, as she watches Marco looking over them. After a moment, a hand dips into her pocket, and she brings out two things. The first, a large red feather. The second, a bird-shaped pendant only with a blue stone. The feather goes back in her pocket, but the pendant gets held out.

It's a gift. For being pleasant to her, and stuff. The whole chocobo and bird-talking thing.]

[Her expression doesn't really change, and her answer seems practically monotonous.]

I can use most materials you bring me. Some materials, such as certain crystals and m-stone pieces, will allow me to give the item elemental or status defense properties.

[Immediately looks around for somewhere to attach it. Shirt? Pants? Nope, sash. It's definitely going on the sash, near the belt.]

[That's taking it a bit far, Marco! It's just a pendant! Raven stands stock still, practically in shock at the movement. What. The. If he hadn't let go, she would have shoved him.

Instead, she just watches him cautiously, rather tense.]

[He does let go quickly though and tada! Pendant attached! And he just beams at her.] How's it look?

[She's a little bit bewildered that it's been received so positively, to be honest.]

[He's a pirate. Accessories go a long long way. Especially since in One Piece, they're almost always from someone important. Hat, bracelet, anklet, belt, etc. etc.]

Great! Now everyone will be jealous, and I'll tell them to come buy from you, eh?

[She's silent for a little while before she answers. Mostly because Marco used the dreaded word "friend."]

If anything I'd like my phoenix form to be scarier. Most people call it "cute" which is hella embarrassing.

It means I have to fight harder to make enemies take me seriously.

[A huge bird can be considered cute? If that was the case, perhaps she wouldn't mind so much...]

At home... a lot of people would cry "monster" and run away. In the Garden, it seems different. Because of the off-worlders.

There are a few in my world like that, but I find I don't really want to know anyone like that. Here the worst that happens is people think I'm someone's pet or a guardian force.

But my whole family and allies, and the islands I protected back home were protected because of my phoenix side. So they loved it. And here, like I said, most people don't care much. And if they do, that just tells me who to avoid.

[Asuka is just out for some fresh air today. When she sees Raven, she instantly decides that there's something weird about her because of how she's dressed, but when she notices the table, she becomes curious. As she approaches, her judgemental expression changes to one of surprise.]
